These pictures were forwarded to me by Guido Wolfs: My Bakker & Brouwer colleague Wiel Moonen and his wife Henny made a large trip to the land of Down Under in May, June and July 2007. Apart from a visit to his sister, who lives in Rye near Melbourne, he made a trip through western and northern Australia by car to see the beautifull nature and the cities of this part of Australia. Ofcourse he couldn't let go on the trucks drivin on the roads he and his wife travelled. Their trip started in Perth. After Perth they travelled to Geraldton, Carnavon, Port Hedland, Broome, Halls Creek, Kununurra, Katherine, and Darwin. From Darwin they took a train to Adelaide. After a short stay in Adelaide, they went to Rye for a family-visit.
Wiel and Henny took a bunch of truckpictures during their trip wich they shared with me. Henny took the most, because Wiel did the driving. |

| No, this is not a mobile carwash!!! Lot's of roads in the outback of Australia are gravellroads. Because of the dust you might see a "watersprayer" on the road, so the dust is gone....for a short moment! |

Dust hazard. Count the wheels of an ordinary roadtrain and you can imagine how much dust you get. This is how a main highway look like in the outback. |
