This is my truck stopped on a Turkish TIR park just south of Ankara this is where we all stopped to cook our breakfast, time is about 08.00 hrs mid 1975. This is my Pal driving another of our Mercedes we are stopped on the desert half way between the road Baghdad and the Saudi border post, 1974/5 time some one had a flat tyre so we brewed the tea while others helped to change it This is me posing again in the same spot

This is in the 1950s I was second man, ready to do the night trunk in another one of my family's trucks. We had 20MPH speed limits in those days. 2028 Jimmy was in our truck park at Yenbu in Saudi right next to Lawrence of Arabia's old house I drove this and the next one This was a big beast and I took the photo at Mercedes new plant they were building on the outskirts of Jedha, That lift axle would only touch the floor when we got 70 tons on board or when I put it down with the air lift. These trucks belonged to East lines out of Jacksonville Fla, they straight to us from the Alkan pipe line in Alaska. Time was 1976.
