A bit of History about US Foodservice
S.E. Rykoff purchased the John Sexton Co. and adopted the Rykoff/Sexton name. They later adopted the name US foodservice, using the logo with the S intertwined about the U. In 1997, Rykoff/Sexton was purchased by JP Foodservice of Columbia, MD, which operated primarily in the Northeastern and Midwestern US. JP was formerly part of Monarch Foods, which is owned by Sara Lee. After JP purchased Rykoff/Sexton, they adopted the US Foodservice name for the entire company, using the logo with the "scribbled" US. The Portland warehouse has now been relocated to a new facility in Ridgefield, WA.
