Here is a picture of Roger's Dad when he drove for Knaus Truck Lines. This photo was probably taken at Knaus's terminal in Pittsfiled, Illinois, circa 1952-53. Roger wanted this picture as a little memorial to his father. His name was Clarence "Biff" Beltz. All total (Knaus and CF he was an over the road driver for 38 years - with only one chargeable accident in the entire 38 years and this is a rather funny story about the one 'chargeable'. Oesch Transfer Chevrolet, which was a small outfit that hauled out of Bloomington, IL. Roger's Dad's first semi job - back in the 40s'. Short runs to Peoria,IL and small towns in Illinois. Roger don't think that Oesch was an interstate carrier. Oesch Transfer dock in Bloomington, Illinois. Photo was taken August of 1945. Roger's father is in the white shirt, standing in front of the large tree. Most of the tractors are Chevolets but visible in the background is an old "Binder" (International).
