A. Billet was a ready mix contractor active in the City of Montreal.  When A. Billet Ltée first started in the ready mix business, they put up their plant on Cote St-Michel Road, which is today known as Crémazie and Jarry streets. The location was Montreal Quarry Ltd property. Montreal Quarry Ltd was a corporate entity.  It was associated with Raymond McDonnell Ltd who were road builders.  At various times they hosted ready mix companies : Dominion Building Materials, A. Billet and Simard Beaudry. Miron eventually aquired Montreal Quarry Ltd. The A. Billet plant was just west at what was eventually the east side of Miron's property.  A. Billet Ltd was only there for a year or so.  When Miron bought Montreal Quarry, Billet vacated the property. Simard Beaudry   would occupy the empty space following the departure of Billet.  Billet for its part moved to Laval, and put up their plant on what is now Demix's property (a company owned by Holcim). Demix eventually bought out Billet, and the neighbouring Normont quarry as well.

The first Billet plant was around the same spot the Simard-Beaudry plant was in that part of Cote St-Michel Road occupied by Miron & Frères & Miron Limited for so many years. Not at the same time, of course. Simard Beaudry eventually left and the space from that point forward the property was taken over by Miron.
