A nice looking Pete leased on with O&S Trucking from Springfield, MO. He was parked at the Perry, GA Wal-Mart right off (-75 at Exit 136 in June 2006 Proficient Auto Transport from Jacksonville, FL runs a small but extra sharp fleet of curtainside parking lots. This unit was parked along US 1 northwest of Jacksonville near Hilliard, FL in June 2006. This Ontario based fleet, Hyndman, has stopped at a Florida turnpike service plaza near Oka Humpka in May 2006

Alma, Georgia is home to Larry's Auto Salvage, who keeps this super sharp Pete proudly on display along US 1 in downtown Alma. The photo was taken in July 2006. These two Southeastern Freight Lines photos were taken at their Hazelhurst, GA terminal on US 341 in June 2006

This dedicated third party logistics fleet from Interstate Distribution serves the Perry, GA based Tolleson Lumber account transportation needs. This photo was taken in July 2006. Railway Express Agency Chevrolet is waiting for the next train to stop at the train station in Helena, GA in early July 2006. I remember the "Bread Wagons" I would see running around Springfield, MASS back in the 60's. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw this nicely restored relic parked outside this old train station as part of a display at this city park in Little Helena, GA.

I found this GMC Crackerbox parked in a field behind a business on U.S. 41 a few miles North of Perry, GA in Oct. 2006. At one time U.S. 41 was the main route between Atlanta, Central Georgia and down into Florida before I-75 was built. Perdue operates a large chicken processing plant a few miles East of Perry, GA. This IH from ther private fleet was stopped at the Perry Wal-Mart in Oct. 2006. I found this old abandoned "girl" on along a city street in Warner Robins, GA in Oct. 2006. They were getting ready to 4 lane the road and just before they hauled her off to some unfitting final resting place I got a picture of it. Could someone give me the details of the history of this particular model?

This O/O is leased on with Sather Trucking Corp which is the in-house carrier for Sather's Candy out of Round Lake,MN. Allentown Toy Manufacturing runs a sharp small fleet that delivers all kinds of toys to carnival and fairs for prizes that you win on the midway games. I found him at the Great Inn at I-75 X-136 during the Georgia National Fair here in Perry during it's Oct. 2006 run. Found this KW from Bear Lake, MI at the Lake Park, GA Flying J I-75 X-2 in 2000 I found these two AAA Cooper WG's stopped while their driver's ate lunch in Melborne, FL in late 1996 I found Mr. America stopped at X-51 of I-16 in Dublin, GA. How's this for an eye popper of a large car!

This Walbon Company T-800 was pulling into the Falcon Truck Stop on FL 70 by the Ft Pierce toll station to the Florida Turnpike sometime in the early 90's. I shot this super looking Western Star leased on w/ Tantara Group out of MI at the Wilco Truck Plaza on I-95 X-1 near Kingsland, GA in 2005 Compass Freight Truck Lines Peterbilt. A Canadian-based company. Can anyone tell us more about the company?

Here's a Service Transport GMC that I took at their Jackson, TN terminal in Jan 1991. Service had their corporate HQ in Cookeville, TN and were sold off to an investor group in the 90's then closed up about 2003 or 2004. Clark Mayflower Sterling was taken in 2005 somewhere in Florida Ed's Auto Transport from Ocoee, FL at Melbourne, FL in 2002 You would have had to seen this monster Pete leased on with NAVL @ the Palm Bay, FL Cracker Barrel in person during April 2006 to fully appreciate all the effort the O/O has put into this machine folks!!

Proficient Auto Transport runs in my opinion the sharpest auto hauling fleet in the South East U.S. if not the entire East Coast. I found this great looking Pete stopped at the Vierra, FL Walmart I-95 X-191 in July 2006. The Western Star leased to Landstar was taken in Nov. 2006 at the Pilot at X-146 of I-75 at Warner Robins, GA. I came across this Texas based Pete 379 early morning at a Melbourne, FL Walmart on Nov. 20, 2006.

Green Bay, WI based LCL Transit with this all business looking Mack was layed over at the Former Days Inn at I-95 X-147 near Vero Beach, FL in the mid 80's. You don't see very many R Mack's set up to haul cars so this Orlando, FL O/O was a good find in the mid 90's at the S.B. I-95 rest area at the 169 m.m. S. of Palm Bay, FL. This was the only angle I had on this sharp looking Hendrickson out of Grand Rapids, MI I caught at the Falcon Fuel Stop on FL 70 & the Ft Pierce exit of Florida's Turnpike in 1996. They were a rare sight indeed that far south in the U.S.

Here's two shot's of what once was Anderson & Webb Trucking Co. Inc. out of Mt Airy, NC. They either sold out and merged with the former Thomas Produce Co. of Greensboro, NC and became ATW or both fleets were bought by a holding company and merged together to form ATW. Shortly after that they disappeared from the highways. Tractor #1053 was shot at the General Lee 66 along I-40 near Cookeville, TN about 1993 or 94 and tractor #1232 w/ the ATW reefer box was posed perfectly for me by the driver at the Vero Beach, FL TA in the late 90's. They were a real colorful eyecatching fleet during their heyday of operations and one of my favorites. Here is the fleet that inspired the kids Christmas time movie Polar Express several years back. I found him layed over in Palm Bay, FL back in the early 90's.

Food Lion Stores based in Salisbury, NC unloading at their former Palm Bay, FL store in the mid 90's. A Rochester, NY based Ford Louisville taken near Vero Beach, FL in the early 90's. How's this for stand out colors. I'm guessing this might be an ex: Nu-Car Carriers unit, maybe someone knows for sure. Here is an early evening shot from Sept. 1990 along I-75 at Wildwood, FL. The reefer unit is for C & C Produce from Atmore, AL and the livestock Pete belongs to Gotebo Express Gotebo, OK

The orange Nu Cars worked out of the ports and hauled imports outbound. Most were O/Os with fleet numbers starting "LD" or "L".Thanks Dick Copello for this information

Dixie Savings Stores from Chattanooga, TN with a nice looking GMC that was stopped at X-174 along I-24 a few miles West of Chattanooga in the early 90's. Here's a classic looking ride, Griffin Used Cars from some small town in Kentucky. He was waiting his turn to enter Florida's Turnpike at Ft Pierce back in 1981. This IH wrecker was picking up the Schneider F/L at the Wytheville, VA T/A on I-77 just North of the I-81 exit in Jan. 1999. Nothing fancy just a good looking work truck that caught my eye.

Here is a Freightliner "Powerliner" for Western New York Dairy Cattle that was layed over at the former Holiday Inn W. of Vero Beach on FL Route 60 in the late 80's. This Wilburn Truck Lines Ford has a face only the owner could love. That's the impression I got from the angle I shot it at near Vero Beach, FL in the early 90's. In my page 14 of my vintage pictures there is a picture of this Dodge. Vero Dodge as I called it. In the caption I said it was restored and here is a photo of it restored the first time in the tanish colors and then restored again in the red paint job.

National Food Express SBFA Western Star in early 1991 at a Refrigerated warehouse in Jackson, TN I was digging through my Ford files and remembered I had made this nice find back in 1995 at a produce stand in Warner Robins, GA. I bet this "old girl" will light up some old truckers memories. When I was growing up and traveled from MA to FL and back during winter vacation with my parents I'd see straight jobs like this bringing Southern grown produce to the Northern markets every so often along the way.

A. Smith Trucks, Inc. from Las Cruces, NM & Colorado Springs, CO. Shot during the mid 90's at the I-95 169 mm rest area S. of Palm Bay, FL. Double Crete's, mid 90's at a diner along I-24 X-174 just W. of Chattanooga, TN This extra sharp F/L Classic from Wisconsin at the Perry, GA W/M lot I-75 X-136 in the early evening of Oct. 2006.

Carolina Ford taken at the Northbound I-95 Rest area mm168 in Mar. 1994 Cumberland Farms Stores from Canton, MA also has convienence stores in Florida with Gulf branded gas which I believe they also own the Gulf name. They operated these "classic" R Macks to deliver fuel up until the late 90's when this picture was taken on I-95 at the N.Bound 168 mm rest area. I came across this in my file cabinet and wanted to share it with my fellow truck buffs. These St. Johnsbury Fords were at the West Springfield, MA terminal in April 1995.

I found what looks to be an old Brown Transport GMC Crackerbox abandoned right off of U.S. Route 341 right near downtown Hawkinsville, GA in late May 2007. If you take U.S. Route 20 West out of my old Hometown of Westfield, MA the next little town is none other than Russell, MA. So when I went back home for my 50th birthday. I wanted to get this shot of the city sign with the Mass Pike bridge over the Westfield River in the background. Just as I went to shoot it this beautiful KW appears from around a bend and makes for the perfect action shot back on May 3, 2007. Tyson Foods from their Northfield, IL location layed over for the weekend at Patrick AFB near Cocoa Beach, FL in the early 90's. Found this sharp steelhauling Pete from Illinois at a motel along U.S. 72 in Athens, AL in early Nov. 2005.

Marten Transport was taken at White's Truck Stop along I-81 X-205 in Raphine, VA on Oct. 28, 2007 The owner of this extra sharp Volvo VN had his pride and joy leased to Pro Transport & Leasing from Fargo, ND. I caught it late afternoon on Oct. 30, 2007 at the Travel Centers of America at I-20 & U.S. 441 near Madison, GA. I shot this with Lisa's new digital at a Pilot stop along I-16 near Savannah, GA.

When we were in Ohio Amish country we came upon this market area that have various type of stores that cater to all the Amish farmers. So I couldn't resist this shot of this line up of rigs at this Amish truck stop along U.S. 62 in Berlin, OH in Oct. 2007.

Dixie Savings Stores from Chattanooga, TN with a nice looking GMC that was stopped at X-174 along I-24 a few miles West of Chattanooga in the early 90's.	Here's a classic looking ride, Griffin Used Cars from some small town in Kentucky. He was waiting his turn to enter Florida's Turnpike at Ft Pierce back in 1981.	This IH wrecker was picking up the Schneider F/L at the Wytheville, VA T/A on I-77 just North of the I-81 exit in Jan. 1999. Nothing fancy just a good looking work truck that caught my eye.

Here is a Freightliner "Powerliner" for Western New York Dairy Cattle that was layed over at the former Holiday Inn W. of Vero Beach on FL Route 60 in the late 80's.	This Wilburn Truck Lines Ford has a face only the owner could love. That's the impression I got from the angle I shot it at near Vero Beach, FL in the early 90's. In my page 14 of my vintage pictures there is a picture of this Dodge. Vero Dodge as I called it. In the caption I said it was restored and here is a photo of it restored the first time in the tanish colors and then restored again in the red paint job.

National Food Express SBFA Western Star in early 1991 at a Refrigerated warehouse in Jackson, TN	I was digging through my Ford files and remembered I had made this nice find back in 1995 at a produce stand in Warner Robins, GA. I bet this "old girl" will light up some old truckers memories. When I was growing up and traveled from MA to FL and back during winter vacation with my parents I'd see straight jobs like this bringing Southern grown produce to the Northern markets every so often along the way.

A. Smith Trucks, Inc. from Las Cruces, NM & Colorado Springs, CO. Shot during the mid 90's at the I-95 169 mm rest area S. of Palm Bay, FL.	Double Crete's, mid 90's at a diner along I-24 X-174 just W. of Chattanooga, TN	This extra sharp F/L Classic from Wisconsin at the Perry, GA W/M lot I-75 X-136 in the early evening of Oct. 2006.

Carolina Ford taken at the Northbound I-95 Rest area mm168 in Mar. 1994	Cumberland Farms Stores from Canton, MA also has convienence stores in Florida with Gulf branded gas which I believe they also own the Gulf name. They operated these "classic" R Macks to deliver fuel up until the late 90's when this picture was taken on I-95 at the N.Bound 168 mm rest area. I came across this in my file cabinet and wanted to share it with my fellow truck buffs.	These St. Johnsbury Fords were at the West Springfield, MA terminal in April 1995.

I found what looks to be an old Brown Transport GMC Crackerbox abandoned right off of U.S. Route 341 right near downtown Hawkinsville, GA in late May 2007.	If you take U.S. Route 20 West out of my old Hometown of Westfield, MA the next little town is none other than Russell, MA. So when I went back home for my 50th birthday. I wanted to get this shot of the city sign with the Mass Pike bridge over the Westfield River in the background. Just as I went to shoot it this beautiful KW appears from around a bend and makes for the perfect action shot back on May 3, 2007. Tyson Foods from their Northfield, IL location layed over for the weekend at Patrick AFB near Cocoa Beach, FL in the early 90's.	Found this sharp steelhauling Pete from Illinois at a motel along U.S. 72 in Athens, AL in early Nov. 2005.

Marten Transport was taken at White's Truck Stop along I-81 X-205 in Raphine, VA on Oct. 28, 2007	The owner of this extra sharp Volvo VN had his pride and joy leased to Pro Transport & Leasing from Fargo, ND. I caught it late afternoon on Oct. 30, 2007 at the Travel Centers of America at I-20 & U.S. 441 near Madison, GA.	I shot this with Lisa's new digital at a Pilot stop along I-16 near Savannah, GA.
	When we were in Ohio Amish country we came upon this market area that have various type of stores that cater to all the Amish farmers. So I couldn't resist this shot of this line up of rigs at this Amish truck stop along U.S. 62 in Berlin, OH in Oct. 2007.

SDX - Special Delivery Xpress, Inc. from St Louis, MO taken at the Warner-Robins, GA Pilot Travel Center near I-75 at Exit 146 in August 2007. Note the old Penn Railroad logo on the grill.	This was part of the in-house transportation fleet at Jasper Engines plant along U.S. 231 on the S. side of Jasper, IN in late Oct. 2003. The Sterling was used to move their racing related promotional trailer around to different events.
