Freightliner logger belonged to an O/O by the name of Eugene Mack from some little hamlet somewhere in FL that i found at the Waffle House/Starvin Marvin stop along I-95 in Palm Bay in the mid 90's. Not real fancy, but made for a good shot none the less. Carretta Trucking from Paramus, NJ and Penn's Best from Meshopppen, PA was shot at the Falcon Fuel Stop W. of Ft Pierce by the FL Turnpike ramp in the early 90's J.D. Otto from Mississauga, Ont. in the early 90's at the former Palm Bay Starvin Marvin Fuel Center.
Swain & Son's from Memphis, TN was shot in late 1990 at the K-Mart parking lot right off of the U.S. 45 Bypass on the W. side of Jackson, TN. Pat Salmon Trucking "mailboxes" from Jacksonville, FL were shot in the late 90's in W. Melbourne, FL. Wilkenson's Wrecker Service xtra sharp GMC 9500 "cigar nose" was taken in their yard along U.S. 412 in Lexington, TN in March 1991.
Shot these two Melburn Truck Lines rigs in eqrly 1991 layed over in Jackson, TN on a heavily overcast morning. This early W900L KW was leased on with Dick Bellerud out of ND. I found him in the early 90's W. of Vero Beach, FL
Estes Express Ford 9000 pulling out of the W. Melbourne, FL Home Depot in early 1995. Wilson Refrigerated Express from Minnesota was at the former Williams Travel Plaza on I-65 X-6 near Franklin, KY in Oct. 2002. GMC Brigadier belongs to Trans Continental Auto Exchange, Inc. from Albertville, AL. I found it at the Days Inn W. of Ft Pierce, FL by the Florida Turnpike in the early 90's.
I had taken a front view shot of this beauty of a KW leased on to a Mayflower agent, but it was not a good angle so I took this shot which I think really highlights what an impressive machine this tractor is. I shot it about 1998 or 99 at the Lake Park, GA Flying J located along I-75 Exit-2. I shot this Sweet Life Foods F/L from Suffield, CT while visiting my old picture taking locations around Springfield, MA in Oct. 1993. He was waiting to load or unload at the Pioneer Valley Ref. Warehouse. Sweet Life was a grocery distributor that I believe was acquired by Super Valu in the mid 90's. Found this rig leased on to Moishe's World Wide Moving from the NYC area in my former Palm Bay, FL neighborhood in June 1997.

Brockway was based out of Dover, FL and was shot in the early 90's at the Palm Bay, FL Waffle House/ Starvin Marvin near I-95. O/O leased on with Sierra Express from Birmingham, AL was taken about 1993 somewhere in the Southeastern U.S. J-Mar Trucking Peterbilt
This is one of the Volvo's I drive. We just took delivery on the first of 4 brand new IH 7300 model's with 6,000 gl tanks Real nice, but kind of ugly with the dark green paint. This rig belonged or was leased to Berg Grain Produce from Fargo, ND. I shot it in the mid 90's at the former Palm Bay Starvin Marvin/Waffle House stop by I-95. Nice colors for a change. I shot this Oklahoma based rig at the W. Melbourne Travel Lodge in 1990 or 91. These were super sharp conventionals, but could never win favor among O/O's much over Paccar offerings.
I found this Tropical Solutions longnose F/L from Fonthill, Ontario in Palm Bay a few years ago. I found this Pete "camper" where I-4 and U.S. 27 cross N. of Haines City, FL in 1988. Bancroft Dairy from Madison, WI shot in the early 90's at the former Days Inn W. of Vero Beach on FL Route 60.
I like the colors of these two rigs side by side. They both clash and complement each other at the same time as I see it. The Bestway IH-COE was from Louisville, KY and the IH-SBFA conv. was for Nolen Sistrunk hailing from Sebastapol, MS. Photo was taken in early 1991 at a motel in Jackson, TN. This awesome Pete belonged to J & D Trucking Co. from Jamestown, TN. I shot him in 1993 at the General Lee Phillips 66 stop at Exit-288 along I-40 near Cookeville, TN. It was beautiful sitting in the sunlight with all that chrome just a gleaming. Klaussner Furniture Industries, Inc. from Asheboro, NC used Ruan's Singlesource Transportation logistics services to distribute their products down here in Florida in the late 80's early 90's. I caught this one at a W. Melbourne, FL Waffle House at U.S. 192 and I-95 in the early 90's.
Papetti's Hygrade Egg Products, Inc. from Elizabeth, NJ ran a real sharp private fleet during the mid 90's when I found this one stopped at the Palm Bay Starvin Marvin/ Waffle House by I-95. Mackoul Distributors/Subway FLD was taken Oct. 28, 2004 at the Dublin, GA Comfort Inn The United Transportation FLD from Wrightsville, GA and white JCB Transportation from somewhere in GA were found at the N.bound I-475 by-pass of Macon, GA on Oct. 24, 2004.
Volvo VN belongs to Armellini Express Lines, Inc. from Palm City, FL. They are the largest cut flower hauler in the U.S. with regular routes reaching all across America. I shot it when the VN was almost new in the late's 90's at the Palm Bay Starvin Marvin/Waffle House. Friendly's Restaurants Pete was taken in Indian Harbor Beach, FL about 1998. They were at one time based out of Wilbraham, MA, but have been bought out and sold several times over the years. I met one of the original founding brothers in the 1980's at their former store in W. A new IH 8600 for McTyre Trucking a heavy & specialized hauler from Orlando. The load is some kind of a barge and I found him at the Vero Beach, FL T/A in March 05. V.L. Watkins Transport from Sparta, MI was taken at the Vero Beach T/A This O/O leased on with R & L Carriers out of Wilmington, OH was still wearing what appears to be Reliable Carriers colors when I shot it back in late Oct. 1997 at the Pilot along I-24 X-86 near the KY/TN line.

H.O.T. Harry Owen Trucking from Elizabethton, KY ran some really nice dressed up KW's. I believe they closed down in 2004. I found this T-6 at the Vero Beach, FL T/A in 2000. I came across this sharp O/O rig early one morning in the mid 90's at the S.B. I-95 rest area at the 169 mm. I believe they were out of S.W. Florida. Pullen Bros. is a long time nationwide reefer fleet based out of Sikeston, MO. This White/GMC was posed almost perfect while layed over in Palm Bay Florida in the early 90's.
M.W. & W.M. Donnell from Bellwood, AL. They hauled alot of processed chickens among other reefer commodities. I believe they shutdown their reefer operations, but continue to operate a fleet of dumps. I shot this at the Vero Beach, FL T/A back in the mid 90's. Caught these two sharp big iron rigs layed over by the former 76 Auto/Truckstop along I-5 in Feb. 1987 near Santa Nella in California's Central Valley region. The one in the front is a Freightliner for Southwest Truck Service from Watsonville, CA.. St Lucie Towing from Ft Pierce, FL was still operating this tough looking White Road Boss when I came upon it parked by a Ft Pierce restarant in the early 1990's.
White's 76 was a long time LTL stopping destination for coffee along I-81 near Raphine,VA. These two posed nicely back in Oct. 1993 to accent the familiar sign that greeted truckers. Caught this Bald Eagle landing on the hood of this KW leased to Jack Gray Transport out of Gary, IN in June 1989 at Jack's Shell at X-304 of I-65 near Cullman, AL. Truckers approaching X-126 of I-40 in W. Central Tennessee see this long time landmark of the North 40 Truckstop. This was taken in March 1991.
I came across this Tom's Volvo/White while traveling on U.S. 63 near West Plains, MO in Oct. 1998. He was just getting ready to pulled out when I asked him to wait a few seconds. Estes Express IH 8100 was stopped right off of the I-40 and U.S..412 exit at Jackson, TN in Oct. 1998. Caldwell Freight Lines from St John, NB I found in the rain along FL 70 W. of Ft Pierce, FL in the early 90's. This C-F COE was taken at the Flying J along I-81 located at the most Northern exit in Virginia just before you cross over the Potomac River in WV in April 2000.
This R Mack for ABF was parked at the Jackson, TN relay yard in 1989 awaiting it's next run. Carolina Albino was shot at the N.B. I-95 rest area at the 168 m.m. S. of Palm Bay, FL in the mid 90's. Davis Specialized Carriers Western Stars from Nova Scotia I came across At a T/A on I-78 about X-15 in Western NJ in April 2000.
J.E. Fortin from near Montreal, Quebec was staying at a former Holiday Inn W. of Vero Beach on FL Route 60 when I seized the opportunity to "nail him" in the early 90's. This awesome Mack Superliner was leased on with Independent Operator, Inc. out of WI. I was driving near our former home in Melbourne, FL in the early 90's when I saw him parked behind a shopping center and did an immmediate U-turn before the sun got any lower. The N.B. 168 mm rest area on I-95 S. of Palm Bay, FL is the location of this O/O leased on with Schanno of St Paul, MN's livestock div. The timeline was the late 90's.
Hoover Brothers from West Plains, MO was parked at a weekday cattle auction near West Plains, MO on U.S. 63 in Oct. 1998. Ardmore Farms with headquarters in Eastern PA also ran a juice plant in Deland, FL. During the 60's and 70's they operated a very colorful orange fleet. Either they shutdown, were acquired or did away with their private fleet because by the mid 90's their name disappeared from the highway. Barlow Pete from Fawcett, MO was parked at the General Lee 66 Truck stop along I-40 X-287 near Cookeville, TN during the late 90's.
Cardone Industries from Philadelphia, PA was stopped at the Florence, SC Petro I-95 X-169 in Oct. 1993. Certified Grocers Ocala, FL was acquired by Eli Witt Co. from Tampa during the mid 90's. They ran a very clean fleet and held onto and maintained them meticulously for a good many years versus trading them every few years. This sharp Mack Superliner leased to Anderson Trucking Service from St Clud, MN was stopped at the Youngstown, OH Petro on I-80 in May 1990.
This O/O leased on with Penn Tank Lines out of Malvern, PA was delivering jet fuel to the tank farm I work at on Patrick AFB, FL in 2004. He works out of the Ft Lauderdale terminal pulling aviation fuels for Penn. Found this O/O leased to Ranger from Jacksonville, FL stopped along I-10 and FL Route 53 near Madison, FL in April 1991 Check out the jumbo exhaust stacks on this O/O Pete COE I found at a truck stop along I-70 on the East side of Dayton, OH in May 1990.
This MacK Superliner for road contractor MacAsphalt a div. of APAC was parked near the approach end of one of the runways at Patrick AFB, FL thus the A-10-A in the background. These two AAA Cooper city P & D drivers met for lunch in W. Melbourne, FL back in 1991. Alterman Transport Lines from Opa Locka, FL operated a good number of these big tall Ford COE's in the 80's & early 90's. I found this one about 1990 at the S.B. 169 mm rest area on I-95 S. of Palm Bay, FL.
I caught this loved bug covered Brown Transport paused in traffic waiting to get on Florida's Turnpike at Ft Pierce back in early summer 1981. Proficient Foods from Orlando at one time did all the Denny's in this part of Florida, but in most cases they were acquired and faded into history. This WhiteGMC photo was from 1999 at Palm Bay, FL. This sharp Safety Kleen Pete was "hanging Out" at the Florence, SC Petro on I-95 Exit-169 in Oct. 1993.
Saia was laid over at a Tifton, GA Super 8 Motel along I-75 during the mid 90's. This classic KW for heavy hauler SSK from the Dallas, TX area was paused at the W. Memphis, AR Petro in early 1991. Here's kind of a neat picture I shot from out the back window of the guy I use to commute to work with while we were on the N. on the N.B. lanes of I-95 near W. Melbourne during the late 90's.
This Publix WC was taken in the early 90's out back of the W. Melbourne, FL store. Here is a Publix Supermarkets IH S. taken at Vero Beach, FL in the early 80's when they still gave S & H Green Stamps with every purchase.
Neal Holsomback Carpet Sales from Calhoun, GA. I believe This was the tractor Mr. Holsomback "tricked out" to make a real eye catcher show tractor out of. This was a very sharp rig even before he did all the customizing to it. Here is an intersting McDonalds supplier. PFD Lebanon. Prairie Farms Dairy out of Illinois and the tractor was from Memphis, TN. This was taken on U.S. 64 in Bolivar, TN in Feb. 1991.
Caught this here Roadway as the driver was coming out of a Hardee's along I-75 near Calhoun, GA in May 1993. This Roadway was stopped at the Okahumpka Service Plaza at the Northern end of Florida's Turnpike. Notice the tandem trailer I.D. numbers in green on the driver's door. This was shot early evening during the late 1990's USF Holland just S. of Jasper, IN along U.S. 231 this unit was based out of the Evansville, IN terminal and the driver was finishing up his day of local P & D service around the Jasper area in Oct. 2003.
This ABF driver was preparing to leave on his linehaul rin from the Jackson, TN relay yard back in the fall of 1988 or 89. He even had his ABF hat on to show he was proud of his job. Carolina was pulled into a rest area on W.B. I-40 near Crossville, TN in May 1993. This J.E. Fortin Freightliner from near Montreal, Quebec was stopped by the Ft Pierce Turnpike entrance in the early 90's.
Alterman Transport Lines from Opa Locka, FL were a common sight pedaling refrigerated commodities locally and over the road before they closed up shop. This Ford Louisville was stopped near exit 173 in Palm Bay, FL in the late 90' Here is a well kept GMC Astro that the O/O leased onto Inway uses to haul light and bulky loads. The late 90's near Vero Beach, FL was the time and date on this photo. This sharp looking Signet R Mack from Toronto, Ontario was layed over at the former Holiday Inn by I-95 W. of Vero Beach, FL in the late 80's.
This big Anderson Pete from Medford, NY was stopped at a diner along FL Route 60 W. of Vero Beach during the early 90's. The Kolbe and Kolbe Ford from WI was taken in the mid 90's at the former Holiday Inn on FL Route 60 W. of Vero Beach. Came across this sharp Western Star leased on to Venture Express from LaVergne, TN in a diner parking lot at X-174 of I-24 just W. of Chattanooga, TN in the late 90's.
KLLM in the early morning sun at Jack's Shell on I-65 X-304 near Cullman, AL on June 21, 1989. S & D Coffee out of Concord, NC runs an xtra sharp looking leased fleet. This one was taken in 2001 at the Vero Beach T/A. Seaport Express from "beautiful" Mississauga, Ontario taken @ the Vero Beach T/A in the early 90's.
This good looking Pete COE was stopped along U.S. 431 S. of Guntersville, AL in 1988. Bowevil Express was based between Henderson & Jackson, TN right off U.S.45, however I believe they shut down in 2003 or 2004. I can't for the life of me remember where I shot this nice looking company Pete at other than somewhere in the S.E. U.S. several years ago. Found this interesting combination of what appear to be Canadian carriers stopped along the Las Vegas, NV strip in the snow during Feb. 1987.
Here is one of Smalley's Pete COE's they used in linehaul service around FL that I shot when he stopped near Vero Beach during the early 90's. Sunbelt Auto Carriers Express from DeBarry,FL taken during the mid 90's at the former Speedway fuel stop at X-173 of I-95 in Palm Bay, FL Yoder, a small longtime livestock fleet from Ohio. I found him in Oct.1999 at the Atlanta South T/A X-201 off I-75 near Jackson, GA.
Barrieau Express from Hartford, CT was taken during the late 90's at the former Days Inn on FL Route 60 W. of Vero Beach near I-95. Graebel Van Lines at the Vero Beach T/A, late 90's> Hartley Trucking Co. out of Ravenswood, WV was layed over at the Pompano State Farmers Market W. of Pompano Beach, FL by I-95 back in the late 90's
This sharp Pete was stopped at the North 40 Phillips 66 along I-40 at X-137 in Oct. 2003. Grady Gray from Ft Pierce, FL shot in Ft Pierce early in 1981 by a citrus packing house This Midwest Continental had just pulled out from under the refueling canopy at the Jackson, GA Flying J along I-75 X-201 in the fall of 1999.
Ort trucking was a small Wisconsin based reefer fleet who sold out to and was merged into a larger reefer fleet a shortly after 2000. This one was taking a break at the Vero Beach T/A in the late 90's. Yacht Transport was layed over at the former Perlis Ambest truck stop (now known as the Cordele T/A) located at I-75 X-97 just south of Cordele, GA in the hamlet of Wenona in 1999. I shot this wrecker in Alma, GA right along U.S. 1 in July 2006.
Here is a "big fish" I caught for Heartland Catfish out of Mississippi at the E.B. I-20 Georgia Welcome Center just E. of the AL/GA line in Nov. 2005. This sharp Freightliner FLD was "captured" on dismal Sunday morning during early Nov. 2006 at a motel on U.S. 72 in Athens, AL. The name on the door reads Bibler from some small town in Illinois. I believe this KW was from Alberta, perhaps one of your Canadian fans will recognize the fleet. I shot him as he just exited the fuel islands in Sept. 2005 at the Clinton, SC Pilot on I-26 right near where it splits with I-385 going to Greenville and I-26 towards Spartanburg, SC.
I shot this early evening Sept. 2006 at the Perry, GA Walmart I-75 X-136. Both of these were shot in late Sept. 2005 somewhere along the I-26 corridor W. of I-95 in South Carolina
Martin's Pastry Shoppe is a real nice and super clean fleet that runs the East Coast from out of their bakery in Chambersburg, PA. I caught these two while they were stopped at the Southbound I-95 rest area in St Johns County Florida on Sunday Oct. 1, 2006. Here are a couple of Glasscock Company cement bulkers from Columbia, SC who were Staying at the America's Best Inn at X-136 of I-75 in Perry, GA while pulling loads locally for a big project for several weeks during Sept. 2006.
