This is my tribute to a long time pure Mack flatbed fleet called Shelton Trucking Service, inc. from a small Florida Panhandle town called Altha.
They are not fancy, but do have a nice color scheme which has stayed pretty much the same for a good many years.

R Model Mack with tarped load was shot in West Melbourne, FL in the early 90's. R Model Mack next to the ex: Cassens Dodge auto hauler I found parked near my former home in Melbourne, FL in the late 80's. CH Mack I found in 2000 at the Pilot Truck Stop on FL Route 70 W. of Ft Pierce in 2000.

This is one massive T-800 heavy hauler to stand next to. Note the spread axles on the tractors tandems and the size of the condo sleeper. Shot it in 2000 at the Ft Pierce, FL Flying J along I-95. General Nutrition Centers has run a private fleet for years with this Mack Ultraliner being based out of their Atlanta, GA distribution center. This unit was parked at a Days Inn we were staying at where I-20 & U.S. 441 meet near Madison, GA in Jan. 2001. Foose Bros. is from Mahwah, NJ and this has been their standard colors for quite sometime. I came across this W9L when our family pulled into an Eastbound I-40 rest area near Crossville, TN in Sept 1994 while returning to Florida.

This Montgomery Tank Lines CH Mack was shot at a Conoco fuel stop along I-24 at Exit-174 W. of Chattanooga, TN in the mid 90's. The early evening sun position made for excellent picture conditions. You don't see too many dedicated auto haulers for Moving fleets, however this was a good find in 1990 at the West Memphis, AR Petro Stopping Center by the I-40/ I-55 split to go over different bridges across the Mississippi River into Memphis, TN. Alexander's Atlas KW W-9 that I saw parked at the former West Melbourne, FL Days Inn on U.S. 192 by I-95 in the early 90's.

Smith, Inc. from Sandyville, WV operates a fleet of "covered wagons" all painted up in attractive blue and white colors. I hung out the back sliding window of my friends pickup to get this "action" shot of him passing us on N. bound I-95 near West Melbourne, FL in the mid 90's ETV from the Grand Rapids area of MI acquired a local competitor called McNitt Contract Carriers. This KW T-600 was still wore McNitt colors when I shot it at the Falcon Citgo W. of Ft Pierce, FL in the early 90's. Eastern Xpress, Inc an Xtra sharp fleet from Hillside, NJ is an industrial plant machinery mover type fleet. Saw this one while in my hometown of Westfield, MA in April 2000. Even on a heavy overcast day it stood out.

McKenzie Tanks Lines, Inc. from Tallahassee, FL has been and still is a long time all Mack fleet. They ran these R models into the mid 90's before retiring them in favor of the CH and now Vision series of Mack's. This clean looking R was shot at the Patrick AFB, FL fuel storage area after an O/O bought it and leased on with Mckenzie in 1997. J.D. Lewis Trucking from Deland, FL operated this very colorful fleet of Kenworth T-600's and I came across this photo opportunity in 1994 at the Vero Beach T/A. Kenworth W-900 belonged to Hames Trucking out of East Point, GA and saw it sitting at a Days Inn W. of Ft Pierce, FL in the early 90's.

Here is another view of the same Overnite F Mack that's on my page 1. It was shot across from the Ft Pierce entrance to Florida's Turnpike in the early 90's. Cooseman, Inc. from Miami, FL and their sister fleet O'neal from Orlando run an outstanding looking fleet of KW W-9L's up and down the East Coast of the U.S. Came across tractor #10 at a McDonald's W. of St Augustine on FL Route 16 & I-95 in Sept. 1994. This Carry Transit from Bridgeview, IL was posed just perfect in May of 1995 off of I-75 near Cleveland, TN.

This KW was from Ruther Glen, VA that's all the info I could read and I shot it in 2001 atthe Vero Beach, T/A. Scottlynn Commodities out of the Toronto area sure runs a sharp fleet and this one was at the Vero Beach, FL T/A in 2001.

O/O leased to ARL (American Road Line from Coraopolis, PA. It was an awesome sight in the early morning sun as the sun was just glistening off the tractor and the palm tree shadow on the trailer looked neat also. Mack Superliner leased on with Mayflower Transit I shot in the late 80's at the former Days Inn on U.S. 192 in W. Melbourne near the I-95 exit. Watkins Motor Lines linehaul contractor taken at the Ft Pierce Flying J in 2001.

Foltz Volvo from Detroit Lakes, MN in Jan 2004 up in Princeton, WV right off of I-77. A. Arnold & Son from Louisville, KY was at the former Courtesy House 76 W. of Vero Beach, FL in 1991. They looked really nice I thought when they had the cream color paint scheme. I shot this awesome O/O's Western Star from Laurel, NE at the Tennessean Truck Stop at Exit-22 on I-65 S. of Lewisburg, TN in Oct. 2003. What a beautiful "ride" it was.

Wiley Sanders KW T800 bulker was taken in Oct. 2003, but I draw a blank as to what state in the South East I shot it in. Freightliner FLD owned by Miller & Sons Trucking from Montgomery, IN. Eagle plastics bulker at the Duncan, SC T/A along I-85 on Oct. 1, 2003.

Dantzler I believe is a wood products treatment company out of Jacksonville, FL This Mack COE was taken at the I-95 S. bound rest area at the 169 mm in the early 1990's. Lisanti Foods of Totowa, NJ has several distribution centers across the U.S. including the one in Irving, TX where their private fleet called New Jersey Trucking Corp. is based. This was shot in 2000 at a mall parking lot in West Melbourne, FL. Nice full length graphics package for this company's fleet. Found this O/O leased on w/ Schanno of Minnesota along I-40 X-126 at the North 40 Philllips 66 Auto Truck Stop in Western Tennessee in early 1991.

I shot the O/O leased to Sunflower Carriers in Oct. 1993 at the Petro along I-95 near Ruther Glen, VA. TTL (short for Tennessee Truck Lines) use to be the in-house carrier for Bush's Canned Foods out of Dandridge/Chestnut Hill in East Tennessee. I shot this in the early 90's at the former Days Inn in W. Melbourne, FL by I-95. You should see the huge warehouse Bush's built in Chestnut Hill.

Stevens Transport is from Mossley, Ontario. They run a sharp small fleet painted solid black w/ blue lettering matching cabs and trailers, but I came across this one at the Lake Park, GA Flying J on I-75 X-2 in May 2003. This is the Southern most exit in GA on I-75 just N. of the FL line. This solid black Pete was leased to E. W. Wylie out of Fargo, ND I believe. I took this in the early 90's at the Falcon Citgo fuel stop W. of Ft Pierce, FL

West Rim Peterbilt 377 shot I took about 1999 at the Jackson, GA Flying J S. of Atlanta on I-75 in Oct.1999. HTI Hardebeck Trucking, Inc. Montecello, IN Taken at Whiteland, IN Pilot I-65 Exit-95 Oct. 03 Jevic Freightliner Century takn in 1999 in Melbourne, FL.

Gooding's Supermarkets use to be an Orlando, FL based grocery chain. Winn Dixie bought most of their stores out and they closed the others and became history a few years ago. Ryder at one time handled their distribution. I shot this in the mid 90's in Palm Bay. Wiley Sanders (Bulk Division) Troy, AL taken Oct. 03 at Duncan, SC T/A I-85 Exit-63 Williamson Truck Lines from Wilson, NC was a long time refrigerated carrier. They ran that color scheme for years and operated several models of IH COE's. They started out as Williamson Distribution and changed their name to Truck Lines at some point. They kind of faded away and haven't seen them in several years, maybe they are still around on a very small scale, not sure. Shot this picture in the late 80's at the former Days Inn on FL Route 60 W. of Vero Beach.

I had perfect timing on this KW dump unit leased on with Jack Gray Transport out of Gary, IN. Just as I was about to shoot it this beautiful eagle was landing on it's nose!! This occured at Jack's Shell Truck Stop along I-65 just S. of Cullman, AL in June 1990. Forge Motors Kenworth auto hauler I found out to pasture at the former Rexton Inn (now Hojo Express Inn) W. of Vero Beach by I-95 in the late 80's.
