This is a new Century Class CST Series that was delivered about 3rd August and will be used for general freight haulage on the east coast of New South Wales. A new Argosy fitted with a CAT C15 being detailed ready for delivery It will be used for carting woodchips to Newcastle for export. Note the name on the sunvisor - CHEAP AS CHIPS.
An early model DAF 2500 8 x 4 that has been converted into a water truck. It will be contracted out to various construction sites for spraying water during construction jobs. This vehicle would be about a mid to late 1970's vintage. It is fitted with a Dodge V8 petrol motor and is used as a farm truck to cart cattle and other farm work. This truck came into work and a photo opportunity was taken to get this shot. It is of a Kenworth K100 towing a flat deck trailer. The sign on the sun visor reads GOT-T-GO.
Another Kenworth K104 also parked at the same rest stop. It is owned by Armestos Transport of the Sunshine Coast in Southern Queensland and operates along the eastern seaboard of Australia. This photo was taken in August 2004 while the truck was parked as the driver had a rest break. The vehicle is owned by Freds Transport of Shepparton, Victoria. A MAN prime mover fitted with a bitumen tank and spray equipment for bitumen spraying on roads around northern New South Wales. It also tows a trailer with more bitumen that can be pumped into the main spray truck.
A Scania 144L waiting to unload frozen chickens at Kempsey. The truck delivers frozen chickens for Sunnybrand Chickens of Byron Bay. A Volvo FH12 of WR George Transport unloading at a Kempsey Supermarket at 11.30 at night. These trucks also operate along the eastern seaboard of Australia. This was a 1946 Albion Chieftain of British descent that was on show at a Rally I recently attended. It is still to be restored but is in going order.
This was a beautifully restored 1959 model International AA150 - which was also a 50th Anniversary model of International's presence in Australia when this truck was produced. AS can be seen from the number plate it is now a registered historic vehicle. This was another beautifully restored 1963 model Peterbilt 351 which started it's life in Australia with Altrans working in quarries in western Sydney. IT has been restored and is owned by Barry Chadwick of Lithgow. Once again this vehicle is registered as a historic vehicle. This is a 1960 model Thornycroft which was operated by Aboods Transport in it's earlier days. The truck is still awaiting restoration but was on display at the Rally.
An Atego 1623 fitted with a tray back and hydraulic crane owned by Australian Solar Timbers and will be used for the delivery of sawn timber along the mid north coast. This Freightliner rigid was also photographed at the Macksvilel Rusty Rally in September 2004 as it was waiting to load exhibits to return to its home. A photo taken on a Sunday afternoon of a Lindsay Australia Kenworth B-Double as it passes through Kempsey on it's way to either Sydney or Melbourne Markets.
This photo was snapped in September 2004 at the Rusty Rally at Macksville and is of a 2004 model Mack Valueliner which transported some exxhibits to the Rally from Queensland. This photo of a Volvo FH12 was also taken on a Sunday afternoon as it was heading south through Kempsey. It is owned by Sawtells Transport and is towing a quad axle super dog trailer. The latest acquisition by Jim Pearson Transport of Port Macquarie as it was ready to be delivered on 19 November,2004.
A Freightliner Argosy of Thormans Transport of Kempsey also taken during a truck parade in Kempsey in 2004. A Kenworth K100 of Mills Transport in B-Double configuration heading through Kempsey CBD on a Sunday afternoon. This Kenworth K100 was taking part in a Truck Parade in Kempsey. The truck is operated by Alec Mulvey Transport of South West Rocks near Kempsey.
This was taken as the Kenworth tipper of McCulloch Bulk Haulage was passing through Kempsey on a Sunday afternoon heading southbound. This is the first Freightliner Columbia we have sold since their release in Australia. It was bought by Hillards Transport of Wauchope. A Mercedes Atego we sold earlier in the year to Lahey Constructions of Kempsey. It is used for carting construction materials and supplies to the company's various building sites.
These 2 photos were taken at the Kempsey Truck Parade in September 2004. They both belong to Hastings Valley Haulage of Port Macquarie and used for bulk haulage of various commodities around the local areas. A well presented Argosy B-double of Hentcliff Transport from Brisbane. This vehicle mainly runs Sydney-Brisbane and is powered by a Cummins Signature engine.
A Freightliner Argosy of Blanchards Transport of Grafton heading south through Kempsey with a load of dressed light poles. Also photographed passing south through Kempsey was this Argosy of Freightways of Australia in B-double configuration. Hot on the heels of the Freightways Argosy was this Linfox Argosy B-double also heading south through Kempsey on a Sunday afternoon.
The latest Argosy to be delivered to Pearson Transport of Port Macquarie was taken on the day of delivery. This was a 1979 Atkinson prime mover that was at the workshop having repairs carried out to it during a short stay. This Century Class CST120 was still in pre-delivery stage when this photo was taken. It was still awaiting driving lights to be fitted and detail before delivery.
This beautifully restored Dennis is I think possibly about a 1940's model and was also on show at the display in Macksville in September 2004. This was a 1968 Diamond T which was snapped at a restored vehicle show in September 2004 at Macksville. This Ford AT9500 was participating in the annual Kempsey Truck Parade in September 2004.
This International AB184 was photographed in the yard at work. It would be an early 1960's model International. This International was taking part in the Kempsey Truck Parade in September 2004. A Kenworth T600 of Hernes Freight Services of Lismore taking part in the truck parade in Kempsey 11 Sept 2004.
A photo of a Lindsay Bros Kenworth T650 as it was passing through Kempsey southbound on a Sunday afternoon for the start of another week. This Kenworth was a participant in the Kempsey Truck Show on 11 Sept. 2004 and this photo was taken during the parade through town. This Kenworth K100 B-Double was photographed as it was passing through Kempsey on a recent Sunday afternoon heading south along the Pacific Highway.
Also another participant in the truck parade was this Kenworth K104 of Betts Haulage from Walcha. Another vehicle, a 1418 Mercedes Benz, also at Macksville is fully restored and is used to bring other exhibits to the show. A Sterling AT9500 of Ballina Removals passing through an intersection in the middle of Kempsey.
A QFM Wester Star with all lights ablaze as it passes through Kempsey on a Sunday afternoon. This truck is almost ready to be delivered from our dealership. It is a mate the another Argosy amongst my photo collection and is identical in spec and in colour scheme. It will be used for general freight haulage on the East Coast. This was a DAF DX95 that pulled in to work for some minor maintenance when this photo was taken. It is towing 2 tipping trailer and is loaded with woodchip.
Another Kenworth T600 photographed passing through Kempsey heading south along the Pacific Highway.. It is towing a refrigerated tri-axle trailer. Another Kenworth T600 that pulled into our workshop for a spot of minor maintenance. It is towing a single aluminium trailer and is used for carting bulk loads such as grain, woodchip etc This Kenworth was passing through the traffic lights in Kempsey heading south along the Pacific Highway.
This photo is of 2 new Mack Metroliner 8 x 4's on a specially built trailer used to deliver new trucks. This configuration of the Mack Metroliner is only of recent release in Australia. This photo was taken of a Mitsubishi FM415 as it was sitting in the yard at work after having had service work carried out on it. This photo was taken on a weekend as this Scania of Hopper Transport was taken as it passed through Kempsey heading south along the Pacific Highway
This photo was taken on 28 Dec 2004 as this truck was climbing Dorrigo Mountain to the tablelands. It is a Lindsay Bros Ford HN80 and is trying to get around a very tight corner on a narrow section of the road - parts of which are blocked from landslides and washaways. It was also raining quite heavily when this photo was taken. A Freightliner Argosy of RTS Trucking of Port Macquarie that had just been serviced and was awaiting pickup by the driver. It does overnight linehaul work for Toll Ipec out of Sydney. This was a photo of a convoy of semi trailers passing through Kempsey on Sunday 12 Feb 2005 as I was taking photos of southbound truck at the traffic lights. In the convoy is a Volvo F16 (Lindsay Bros) Kenworth K100 of Phillips of Shepparton and 2 Sterlings of Lindsay Bros and Charter Freight Lines. This is a Kenworth K100 of Osenton Transport also passing through Kempsey on a Sunday afternoon.

This is one of a fleet of Western Stars belonging to QFM Transport shown driving through the streets of Kempsey. It is fitted with a 600 hp CAT motor and runs along the east coast of Australia. This is a well presented Western Star 4900FX also fitted with a CAT motor which was taken at my workplace while it was in for a service. This truck is mainly used for hauling cattle. This was an Argosy of Lindsay Bros that dropped into work during the past week to have a minor coolant leak rectified. It runs all up and down the east coast of Australia and as far as Adelaide with the loads it carries.
This is a new Atego tiltray owned by the Ford/Mercedes car dealer in Port Macquarie.It is used for picking up broken down cars and crashed cars to return them to repair facilities at their dealership. Kenworth of Browns Slipways of the Sunshine Coast in Queensland dropped in for a brief visit to drop off some freight at my workplace. This is an old R600 Mack and log jinker trailer that is sitting in our yard waiting to be sold.
