1950'S White TD 5000. My father and I superimposed, of course. Picture compliments of RG Adams, 100 Yrs of Trucking. My father ran one similar to this one twice a week to Chicago out of the Toledo yard. It was only a five hour run on the turnpike. Humorously, my father would say they lost their right to use it. So, having to use back roads, only two trips a week were logable. This is the first truck I rode in. I sent him this picture shortly before he died. Thanks Dad. RC Gloor R.I.P. One heck of a driver.
1977 Peterbilt H cab. Me at 21, my first truck. It had a KTA 600 13 speed 3:88 rears 250 wb 6ft. Drom deck. She'd run 115 (was all I had the nerve for, there was more) picture was outside of Truck Plaza 70. Old home terminal of Curtis Inc. Taken in 1981.
1993 KW K100 60s Detroit 450 9sp 3:07 rears. I was leased to ATC of Charleston, SC, a container outfit. The picture was taken in 2001 behind an old closed down Food Lion I used to park at in Summerville SC. Getting ready to leave for Orlando FL. The very attractive woman in the picture is now my wife barbara.
Same truck , same day, and trip. I really liked that truck!
