A late model Freightliner 8x4 with pup trailer operated by Grimm Modern Building Materials of Green Island, New York. A 1953 International model RDF-310 photographed at the 2003 ATHS show in Syracuse, New York. This truck is privately owned out of Athens, Ontario Canada. The Equipment Maintenance Division of the City of Jamestown, New York tows its disabled vehicles with this Oshkosh wrecker.
A 6x6 Mack B-8136 wrecker with a Canadian owner. On display at the ATHS show in Syracuse, New York in the summer of 2003. Another wrecker on display at the 2003 ATHS show was this 1965 Mack B-81, which was operated by A to Z Service, Riverdale, New Jersey. Still used by Red & Art's Service Station, located along Interstate 84 in Stafford Springs, Connecticut, is this vintage Brockway tow truck.
One of Frank Ciavattone's Walter Snow Fighters. It is a 1971 Walter QCUL model ex-Stewart Airport, Newburgh, New York. After a short stint away from Frank Ciavattone's East Walpole, Massachusetts based snow fighting fleet, this 1974 Walter QDUL 'The King of Kings', is back with a new paint job and ready to do battle with New England snowstorms. It is an ex-Glenville, New York truck. The newest in the Ciavattone fleet is a 1984 truck which came out of Denmark, New York. Veed, winged, and ready to go.
A rugged 1964 Oshkosh model 2206 is also a member of the Ciavattone Snow Fighting arsenal. This truck originally cleared airport runways with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. A recent acquisition of Frank Ciavattone of East Walpole, Massachusetts is this ex-USAF 1963 Oshkosh 2206 model. It was rebuilt by Oshkosh in 1982. An old International with Coleman all wheel drive rotary snow blower. Found in a construction yard near Amsterdam, New York. Original owner in unknown.
The Connecticut Department of Transportation operates this 2002 Oshkosh runway de-icer at Bradley International Airport in Windsor Locks, Connecticut. This 1967 Mack 'C' model pumper served Northfield, Connecticut. It was later acquired by the Town of Thomaston Highway Department and the pumper body was replaced with a vactor. The 1990 Mack with Saulsbury bodywork is operated by Emergency Services Unit 4 of the New York City Police Department and is based in the Borough of the Bronx.
American Eagle Fire Apparatus built this airport fire rescue vehicle on a 1988 Autocar 4x4 chassis for the Buffalo Niagara International Airport, New York. The Wolcott, Connecticut Volunteer Fire Department was the original owner of this 1950 White/American LaFrance pumper. It is now privately owned and protects a campground in Litchfield County, Connecticut. The Northeastern Industrial Park in Guilderland Center, New York owned a pair of these 1956 Chevy/Young foam pumpers. They were part of an original order of twenty-three of these trucks built for the New York State Thruway Authority. They were strategically located at points along the Thruway, and were originally pained a medium to deep blue color.
This 3000 gallon capacity tanker built by 4-Guys on a 1987 Autocar chassis is used by Company 2 of the Glastonbury, Connecticut Volunteer Fire Department. The Hillsdale, New York Fire Company operated this 1987 GMC General pumper-tanker built by Quality Fire Apparatus. The source pumper for the Pound Ridge, New York Fire Department was built in 1997 by Gowans-Knight, on a 1996 International 4x4 chassis.
Honeoye Falls, New York Fire Department has this 1995 International/Custom Fire rescue pumper with a 'Full Response Cab.' In plant fire protection for Hamilton Standard Division of United Technologies is provided by this 1994 GMC/Emergency One 4x4 foam truck. One of a pair of 1994 Peterbilt/Custom Fire 1500 gpm pumpers in service with the City of Elmira, New York Fire Department.
Harpursville, New York Volunteer Fire Department has this 1964 Mack B model tanker which was originally owned by Charlton, New York.
