Back in the days before Landstar when Ligon was known as Ligon Specialized out of Madisonville, KY. The driver of this Pete COE was working on his CB antenna's while layed over at Terminal Stations in early 1976. |
I guess the message on the rear of the trailer parked at Terminal Stations was this driver's version of Sammy Johns song "Chevy Van" when it was real popular in 1976. |

| Since I couldn't gain access inside of the big Chevron terminal at Richmond, CA in April 1976 I did the next best thing without a telephoto lens. Under the canopy loading are several Chevron tankers, what appears to be a P.I.E. with a White Freightliner and closest to the gate is a KW for San Pablo, CA based Acme Transportation, Inc. |

Bar-Ale Comet Feeds from Petaluma, CA ran a nice fleet of rigs pulling various ag related products. Hay was one of their specialties and this White Freightliner made for a nice picture next to the Diamond Reo tanker unit in July 1976. |
I remember I tried for a long time to get a picture of this sharp White Freightliner for Coast Gas from Watsonville, CA, but this was the best I was ever to do as he was pulling away from the pumps at Terminal Stations when I arrived one day in March 1976. |
