Here's a nice example of the set forward front axle Autocar taken in 1976 also at Terminal Stations. This O/O was leased on with longtime reefer fleet Exley Express who was based out of the Seattle area. I shot him in 1976 at the Terminal Stations Texaco. A.D. Frey, Inc. from Hanover, PA taken along U.S. 20 in Palmer, MA during the summer of 1972 Gypsum Haulage from Cleveland, OH (one of the Leaseway owned fleets) shot in 1972 at the Westfield, MA Hojo's lot. A dump fleet based near Albany, NY called Hauser Trucking. I shot this out of the back window while my Dad was driving Westbound on the Mass Pike between exits 4 & 3 sometime during the winter of 1972-73.
Marlboro Mills Corp. from Marlboro, MA (I believe) stopped on U.S. 202 N. of Westfield, MA in 1972. IH Transtar II leased on with ICCC (Interstate Contract Carrier Corp) from SLC, UT at a motel by Exit 6 of the Mass Pike in Chicopee, MA next to the former M & M Transportation terminal in 1975. You can see part of an M & M logo on a city trailer in the background if you look closely. An O/O that had both Laurel, DE & Salisbury, MD painted on the cab door at M & S Tomato Co. in downtown Springfield, MA in the summer of 1974
A Roadway White 4000 at their W. Springfield, MA terminal in 1974 This then almost brand new IH Transtar II was either leased to or owned by Safeway Truck Lines out of LaPaz, IN and was off loading at Hampden Beef Co. in downtown Springfield, MA in 1975. An O/O leased to CRST from Cedar Rapids, IA unloading at Hampden Beef in Springfield, MA in 1974
This Packerland IH Transtar was having a tire replaced at the Marquis Texaco Truck Stop on U.S. 5 in W. Springfield, MA in 1974. Packerland Packing from Green Bay, WI was a regular on the Mass. Pike growing up. This Pete COE was layed over at a Holiday Inn right along I-291 in downtown Springfield, MA in 1975. The lettering on the door of this KW COE appears to read R.G. Solid Jr. from Tucson, AZ. The team was waiting at the light to enter onto the Mass. Turnpike from U.S. 202 in Westfield, MA in early 1973.

North American Van Lines White Road Commander and Peterbilt drom taken at Terminal Stations during the fall of 1975 Interesting Freightliner with a double tanker unloading at the AAFES gas station at Travis AFB. The picture was taken some late afternoon in early 1976. Most fuel tankers I saw were truck with pull trailers, these pup tankers were mostly use by raw milk haulers like KCTL. Atlas Mack COE with the cab up was shot at Terminal Stations in the fall of 1975.

This sharp looking IH Transtar belonged to Hovis Trucking Co. who appeared to be a dedicated carrier for the R.D. Werner Co., Inc. from PA. He was layed over at the Westfield, MA Hojo's during the winter of 1974-75. Pete COE leased on with Safeway Truck Lines was keeping company with this Avis Rental GMC Astro at the diesel pumps on the Mass. Turnpike W. bound service plaza near Auburn, MA back in the summer of 1972. GMC Astro leased to C & H Transportation was delivering prefabricated materials for a new car wash being build in downtown Westfield, MA in 1972
Flexi-Van from New Haven, CT owned this F Mack I shot in Springfield, MA in 1973 Leon Johnsrud was the owner of this IH Transtar II that was delivering in downtown Springfield, MA in 1975 M & G Convoy Dodge at the Westfield, MA Hojo's Restaurant lot during the summer of 1974 after they had sold to Ryder System
A "tough" looking KW COE leased on with Dubuque, IA based Rowley Interstate with a load of meat in Springfield, MA during the summer of 1974. Rowley was one of my early "favorite fleets" before I left home for the service in 1975 Here is an O/O who also had his Diamond Reo leased on with Transamerican Freight Lines reefer div. and was parked by his home near Holyoke, MA in the summer of 1972. This O/O was Leased to Transamerican Freight Lines who stopped across from the entrance to the Mass Pike Exit 3 in 1973
Albert Farms KW from Slocum, RI was turning onto Mass Turnpike entrance ramp from U.S. 202 in early 1973. A very dirty Ellsworth Freight Lines IH Transtar from Iowa delivering a load to the Springfield, MA farmers market complex in early 1974. Starcraft Boats IH D model from Indiana A Westfield in early 1974. That red & white checkered thing over the spare tire on the L. rear of the tractor is the top of the water tower of the former Savage Arms gun plant that was right next to the Mass. Pike.
Tri-State Motor Transit drom Freightliner parked @ a motel along U.S. 202 near Westfield, MA in early 1973. They delivered munitions to the 104th Fighter Wing of the Mass. ANG at Barnes Municipal Airport in Westfield. Freigtliner live stock hauler shot in 1976 at Terminal Stations Parker Refrigerated Sevice from Tacoma, WA use to be one of my West Coast favorite fleets because of the nicely painted KW Conv.'s they use to operate shot in 1976 at Terminal Stations.
