Very interesting proud, patriotic American trucker here! He operates as H & D America out of Williston, Florida. I found him resting at Big Boys Travel Plaza near Kenly, North Carolina along I-95 right after sunrise in July, 2016.
ABC Heavy Hauls from Ft Worth, TX with this tough looking Pete 389 @ the Oklahoma City West TA along I-40. A CNG powered UPS KW T-680 stopped at the Perry Chick-fil-A on U.S. 341 near I-75, X-136.
R.E. Monson, Inc. based in Britt, Iowa at the J.P. Valero Travel Plaza, X-138 on I-75 near Perry, Georgia. Atlas Van Lines heavy booking agent Nelson Westerberg with a Volvo VN 780 at the Kenly, North Carolina Petro.
Some shots of this ABF Cascadia at the Perry Walmart as this is the first decent photo opportunity I've had to get one of them.
A Miami, Florida based Freightliner Classic XL operating as Prime Time Transport parked at the far back corner of the big Petro @ Kenly, North Carolina. FL Classic for a carrier by the name of ABC Auto that was at the N. Little Rock, Arkansas Petro on I-40, X-161 in July, 2016. Marvin Windows & Doors (div. of Marvin Lumber & Cedar Co.) from Warroad, Minnesota laid over at a motel on the W. side of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma in July 2016.
Oklahoma based Pete 379 "livestocker" at the OKC East TA, X-142 on I-40. VN for C.C. Jones, Inc. from N. Little rock, Arkansas at the OKC West TA on I-40. IH Eagle for B & B Trucking from Alabama with a Ti-Brook, Ti-Light dump trailer on the new concrete parking area of the J.P. Valero Travel Plaza near Perry, GA. Not a big lot at all, but the10 or so new spaces on concrete (no less) is pretty decent.
Super nice looking IH Eagle leased on with Landstar Ranger sitting at the W. Memphis, Arkansas Petro between I-40 & I-55. Oilfield fracking sand hauler for Cisco Logistics from Cisco, Texas parked at the OKC West Love's Travel Stop. Cisco has a pretty good website to check out. Twin IH ProStar's for WMW (Wooster Motorways) from Wooster, Ohio at the OKC East TA in-between oilfield fracking sand loads.
The lettering on the generator cover plate is too small to read, but this big bunk W-9-L was wearing a South Dakota base plate and I found it at the N.B. I-95 rest area @ the 99m.m. near Selma, North Carolina. Great looking Pete 379 for a small fleet by the name of King Transport from somewhere in Iowa that I came across on the lot of the Kenly, North Carolina Petro.
Pretty sleek looking Pete 579 for Columbus, Mississippi based Performance One Transportation at the Fulton, Mississippi Walmart along I-22 @ X-104. LTI Trucking Services, the in-house trucking fleet for refrigerated/frozen warehousing specialist Lanter Company based in Madison, Illinois with one of their Volvo VN's @ the Perry Walmart in early Sept. 2016.
One really outstanding Pete leased on with the Specialized Transportation, Inc. div. of CRST international that I found at the Kenly, North Carolina Petro along I-95 @ X-106.

"It's all about the Cash" says the lettering on the sleeper compartment of this flattop narrow bunk Pete 379 operating as No Limit Trucking from Coweta, Oklahoma that was at the OKC East TA in July 2016. I love the colors & the design of the colors layout for Lathrop Livestock Transportation from Dundee, Illinois. I caught it resting at the OKC West Flying J along I-40. At the J.P. Valero Travel Plaza near Perry, Georgia. Just when I think that old KW T-2000 for Bonus Transportation, Inc. from Apopka, Florida is gone from their fleet it appears once again. I've seen it off and on for the last ten years so it must still run pretty well.
ATS from Rochester, Minnesota with one of their newer Pete 567 heavy hauler tractors that was at the Kenly, North Carolina Petro. Everglades Express from Freeport, Illinois & Bonita Springs, Florida resting at the Perry Walmart in late. Sept. 2016. They run a small fleet of some of the prettiest Volvo VN 780's on the road here in the U.S. (in my opinion).
The boat hauling div. of Thom's Transport Co., Inc. based in Blackshear, Georgia waiting on an outdoor recreation warehouse & retail outlet center (across the street from the Perry Walmart) to open so he can drop at least part of his load of Carolina Skiff boats off at. Trimac Transportation, Inc. probably assigned to some sort of dedicated run after fueling up at the Carnesville, Georgia Wilco Hess on I-85, X-166 in Oct. 2015.
An O/O who had his Freightliner Classic, XL leased to Genie Trucking Line, Inc. based in Mt Holly Springs, Pennsylvania that I was able to get this side view of while at the Kenly, North Carolina Petro. O/O leased on with Kel-West Carriers Ltd from British Columbia sitting next to a Freymiller Pete 386 at the OKC West Flying J.
Interesting headlight placement after it looks like this Pete 379 had some damage to the R. front fender. Had an Illinois base plate and looks like the initials DJAC, Inc. the lettering on the reefer reads, Needhams Transportation Janesville, Wisconsin. I caught it at the J.P. Valero Travel Center near Perry, GA. A KW T-680 & T-660 for Seaboard Transport, Shawnee Mission, Kansas (the in-house fleet for meat processor Seaboard Farms) that were resting at the OKC West Pilot Travel Center on I-40, X-140.
Nick Strimbu, Inc. from Brookfield, Ohio was a traditional steel hauler who ventured into the reefer side of trucking most likely when most of the steel mills around the Youngstown, Ohio closed up. I caught this Pete 579 for them at the big Kenly, North Carolina Petro. Looks like this Cascadia was previously leased on with either an Allied Van Lines agent or Reliable Carriers, but now is leased to Landstar Ranger, Inc. and was at the Kenly, North Carolina Petro.
The O/O told me the tractor started out as a day cab in Indiana (where he lives). He kept adding to it and adding to it and this is the end result. One of the most awesome rides I have ever come across! I like it because it's not all chopped, modified, and altered much from what a standard Pete 379 looks like, yet it's one of a kind! I caught him at the OKC East TA in mid Aug. 2016.
Millis Transfer, Inc. with HQ's in Black River Falls, Wisconsin at the Perry Walmart in Sept. 2016. They have a terminal down in Albany, Georgia which this one is most likely out of. Pete 379 for Mitchener Transport from Amarillo, Texas resting at the OKC West TA before sunrise in July 2016.
Owner operator C.R. Holt Trucking from Stuart, Oklahoma has owned this Pete 359 since it was new in 1983. He told me he has almost or just over 6 million original miles on this classic running anywhere there are cattle to be moved. I caught up with him at the OKC West TA in mid Aug. 2016. One very nice guy to talk with.
The red Pete 389 was operating as Manco with a Texas base plate and was resting at the OKC West TA at sunrise in Aug. 2016. I 've always wanted to get a Pete 587 parked next to a Pete 579 just to show how much they resemble each other, but yet are different when you compare them side by side. I caught these two at the OKC West Pilot on I-40 with Decker Truck Lines hailing from Ft Dodge, Iowa and the O/O 587 had a Florida base plate. Oilfield fracking sand hauler W & D Trucking from Ada, Oklahoma with one of their Pete 389's & a Mac bulker trailer at the Choctaw, Oklahoma Love's Travel Stop on I-40, X-166 E. of OKC.
Looks like 3 armor plated Toyota's on the step deck behind this W-9-L for Makura, Inc. from Florida who was most likely transporting them to a U.S. port city for export overseas unless they came into the U.S. from overseas. I took this at the Kenly, North Carolina Petro. Mack Pinnacle for Kenan Transport Company whose corporate HQ's are in Chapel Hill, North Carolina dropping a load of unleaded gas at a Perry Circl K Shell just off of I-75. This particular tractor is domiciled at Macon, Georgia and delivers around central Georgia. A really great looking Pete 379 for a North Dakota O/O operating his business as Gregorie Express who stopped by the Perry Walmart.
Pete 579 for Holt's Trucking LLC from Siloam, North Carolina next to an unidentified Pete tanker with an Idaho base plate early a.m. at the OKC West Pilot in Aug. 2016. I really like the color of this Cascadia Evolution for Classic Carriers, Inc. from Versailles, Ohio who's driver was a real nice guy and proud that I wanted to take a few pictures of it @ the Perry Walmart in Sept. 2016.
New Cascadia for the Macon, Georgia Coca Cola distribution center that was making a delivery to my neighborhood Publix Supermarket in Sept. 2016. Heartland Express, Inc. decals over the former Gordon Trucking name & company tractor colors next to the Ledoux Trucking, Inc. Pete 379 @ Choctaw, Oklahoma. Ledoux Trucking, Inc. from Newalla, Oklahoma parked at the Choctaw, Oklahoma Love's Travel Stop on I-40, X-166.
The letters GTS with an Ohio base plate fueling up at the OKC West Pilot Travel Center. The paint job is rather unique and for sure eye catching!
I like the clean lines & colors that this Western Star has that the O/O earns his living with leased on with Bruce Oakley Trucking from N. Little Rock, Arkansas with. He was at the OKC East TA when I stopped in during mid-Aug. 2016.
CDT from Lake City, Florida resting at the Perry Walmart @ dawn in Oct. 2016. Specialty pipe, tubing & bar supplier Marmon Keystone (operated by Ruan Transport Corporation) parked at a hotel by the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Denver, Pennsylvania. H. Eugene Koontz, Inc. from Bedford, Pennsylvania making his way South on U.S. 522 near Winchester, Virginia in a Mack Pinnacle pulling a raw milk tank.
I think I go to truck stops anymore just to be around a bunch of trucks and shoot images just to shoot images of what I thinks makes for a good picture. This was at dawn this morning at the Byron Pilot. I've taken sooo many pictures over the years I just take them now for something to do and to try and catch interesting looking trucks. I'll probably never get caught up on editing all of them and sorting them all out. Looks like a former Stevens Trucking Pete 387 now in it's second life for an O/O operating as Solomon Transport from Lakeland, Florida and resting early morning at the Byron, Georgia Pilot. A good looking Pete 379 daycab for Lombardo Loam & Gravel Co. Inc. from Acton, Massachusetts with a new dump trailer sitting at the Milesburg, Pennsylvania T/A along I-80, X-158.
Freightliner Columbia pulling for United mega agent Suddath Relocation Systems that has many offices & warehouses across the United States. Not a fancy set up by any means, but still earning a profit for the company. I shot it out behind the Perry Flash Foods fuel stop & C-store in Nov. 2016. Giant Food Stores LLC based in Carlisle, PPennsylvania with this Volvo VN stopped at the W.B. service plaza on the Pennsylvania Turnpike, 258 m.m. Mack Pinnacle for GMR Transportation from West Fargo, North Dakota stopped at the Huyett, Maryland Pilot Travel Center on I-70, X-24 (just W. of Hagerstown) in late Oct. 2016.
Two Celadon company units at the Madison, Georgia Pilot where U.S. 441 crosses I-20 @ X-114. Part of a late afternoon line up at the Oklahoma City West T/a on I-40, X-140. KW T-680 with a very small sleeper for Zook Molasses Co. out of Honey Brook, Pennsylvania next to a Volvo VN leased to Matrix from Bensenville, Illinois at the Lee Hi T/A on U.S. 11 near X-195 of I-81 North of Lexington, Virginia.
