This was in northen alberta on the left is a Western Star 4964EX winch tractor. On the right is a Western Star picker not sure on the model. This one of three twin steer bed trucks running with Howards Transport out of Spruce Grove, Alberta. Here they are moving a rig for Phelps Drilling in southern Alberta. This is the other bed truck seen here moving a shale tank on a rig move.
This was Mark's Dad's 1997 Western Star winch tractor with a set back axle. 30 ton winch, 430hp Detroit. It is seen here with one of the three twin steer bed trucks on a 16 wheel lowbed. Mark's Dad's truck with a 100ft bridge on sitting in a parking lot in Edson, AB. Mark's Dad's truck with a hoe on 32 wheel combination sitting on the southside of Edmonton.
Here is a couple of the company owned trucks that belong to Howards Transport. Two bed trucks. In the front is the little bed truck lifting up the twin steer. The twin steer was sucking on the draw works for a rig. This is Mark's Dad's truck with a commander belonging to Pentastar. It's on 40 wheel combination oner 100ft long and 100,000 pounds.
Kenworth C500 that is owned by a lease op for Howard’s transport our of Stony Plain AB. Here is a very new model Western Star that was one of the first to be put into field service. It is a twin steer 6900 XD. Rear view of the rigging on the C500 winch tractor. The truck was rigged up by Marcep's out of Stony Plain AB.

Not a good s picture of the winch tractor but you get an idea of the Western Star tri drive. It was taken in the wash bay of the Howard’s Transport shop. Another view of the tri drive winch tractor.
