Mack Superliner at Wildwood, FL. This truck belongs to a friend of mine from Long Island, NY and is one of favorite trucks. Here is a picture of one of my cabovers, a Freightliner FLB 110.
My dad drove this Mack B613 for Midland Superior from 1955, when it was still Empire Freightways. My father was very proud of this truck when he bought it as it had the turbo charged version, giving 210hp instead of the 190hp. The year of this photo is unknown. The original was B&W, but I found them and had the color added. My Dad is 75 years old and still runs 13,000 miles every month at Trans-X across the prairies.
I found some more old pictures this one is of my father. The year is 1959 in Winnipeg. I call this picture, "Two Dogs," as his cockerspaniel is sitting on the left fender of his Mack. These pictures where taken in 1979 of my Dad's ( Alf Bunce) GMC Astro. He was hit headon near Brooks, AB by a women going eastbound in the westbound lanes. The truck was a 1977 Astro powered by a 8v-92 Detroit.
