BP. Leyland Daf 80. One of many tankers in this petroleum companies fleet. This truck was seen at a roadside transport cafe in Dartford, Kent in 1997. McCarthy Haulage. DAF 85CF. McCarthy is a Welsh transport and distribution company. The truck was seen on the A.2. at Gravesend, Kent in 2001 Stormont. Iveco. Stormont is a large distribution garage for Ford and Iveco vehicles. The truck is based on a Magirus Deutz and was re badged Iveco after the two companies merged in 1975. The truck was seen in south east London in 1996.
Leyland Marathon. First registered in 1983, this truck was manufactured for the Middle East run. The truck is seen here in 1999 broken down in Central London. Felbermayr. Mercedes 2653. A large Austrian heavy haulage company specialising in the movement of heavy and abnormal loads. The truck was seen in 2000 at Dartford docks about to board the ferry for the Continent. Momart. Mercedes Actros 1835 Megacab. The truck belongs to an art handling company. The truck has air suspension. The truck was seen in 2000 in East London.
Vittel. Mercedes Actros 1843 Megacab. The truck was seen on a motorway just outside the city of Luxembourg in 1999. BRC. Renault C385. This cement mixer was seen in 1996. They are a common site in Paris. Careys. Renault Kerax. Careys is a large plant hire company and supplier to the building industry. The truck was seen at a truckfest in 1999.
OíConnor. Scania 114 L 380. A North West of England, container hauling company. The truck was seen in 1999 unloading at the Tate Gallery in Liverpool. Hellmann. Scania 113M 380 Streamline. Helmann is an Italian international haulage company and has a large fleet of drag and trailer units. The truck was seen at Dartford on the M.25 in 2000. Hillís of Cardiff. Seddon Atkinson Series 400. A Welsh company delivering to a distribution warehouse in Dartford, Kent.
Hays Storage. Volvo G88. Not to be confused with the F88. This truck has a 5.5 ton capacity front axle. The truck is currently being used as a shunter for a large British storage and distribution company. The truck was seen in 1996 at Dagenham, Essex. Ross Gordon. Volvo FH 16 Globetrotter 520. A Scottish company who does a weekly run to the Continent with Seafood. The truck was seen in 1999 at Dartford, Kent. Taylor Barnard. Volvo FL10. The trailer was being hauled by a very large British logistics company, TDG. The truck is affectionately known as a Wendy House. The truck was seen in 2000 at Gravesend, Kent.
Ritchie Transport. ERF ECX. The ERF is a new model based on the old MAN cab. MAN took over ERF from Western Star in February 2000. The truck was seen on the A.2. near Gravesend, Kent in 2001. UK Petroleum. Foden 3275. An 8 x 4 petrol distribution tanker. Seen in 1999 at Dartford, Kent. Translink Rescue. Ford Transcontinental 4435. A local Kent recovery company. The truck was seen in Dover docks in 1997.
Kim Fuchs Transport. Iveco Eurostar. A Danish truck with refrigerated trailer. The truck was seen leaving England in 2000 at Dartford docks. (Europort). Blue Circle Cement. Leyland Roadtrain 20.33. Blue Circle have a large fleet of powder tankers and distribution trucks. The truck was seen parked at a transport cafe in Dartford, Kent. FAM. Mercedes Actros Megacab. A Manchester recovery company with a 570 bhp wrecker. The truck was seen at a truck festival in 2001.
Sita. Mercedes Econic. Sita is a large national waste management company. The truck was specially designed for this type of refuse collection. Low entry easy access. The truck was seen at a refuse collection and distribution point in Dartford, Kent in 2000. Scammell Routeman. This 8 x 4 tipper was seen on a building site in 1999 at Rochester, Kent. It was first registered in 1979. Prestons of Potto. Scania 124L 420. Prestons is a large distribution haulier based in Yorkshire. The truck was seen on the A.2. trunk road near Gravesend, Kent in 2001.
Seddon Atkinson 401. This 8 x 4 tipper is a local vehicle seen at Dartford, Kent. Sisu. A Finnish truck seen at a Truck racing circuit in Kent in 1994. Sisu forward control tractors now use Renault Premium cabs. Tatra with mounted crane. This Czechoslovakian truck was photographed at Prague airport in 1996.
Cleanaway. Volvo FL 10. A large waste disposal company with large fleet of refuse and gulley tankers. Truck seen in 2000 at Dartford, Kent. Volvo FM 12 with turntable ladders. This fire tender belongs to the South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service and was on the Volvo stand at a truck festival in 2000. Motorsafe. Volvo FH 12 420 Globetrotter. A Birmingham recovery company. The truck was seen at a truck festival in 2001.
