Atkinson Borderer. This restored truck is seen with a 33ft box trailer on a single axle. This particular truck is powered by a Cummins engine and was seen at Gaydon in 2006. Austin FE. This restored truck is a 1955 model and is seen here with a dropside body. The truck was seen at Gaydon in 2007. DAF 2800. This model also came as a 3300 and 3600. This 4 x 2 tractor unit has a full sleeper cab and an underdam bumper. The truck was seen at Gaydon in 2007.
DAF 75 CF. Bournes. This removal van has full air suspension as can be seen with the rear of the truck lowered and front raised for easy loading. The truck also has a sleeping pod above the cab and a swop body unit. The truck was seen at Whitechapel in London in 2009. DAF CF. This car transporter usually tows a trailer but on its own can still carry 6 cars. The adjustable split decks can be seen angled for efficient loading of the vehicles. DAF 95 XF. This Super Space Cab model is the second series DAF 95 and has a powder/flour trailer. The trailer can be seen with its catwalk folded down. The truck was seen at Leyton, London in 2006. DAF 85 CF. Fueloils. This 4 axle tanker delivers fuel and the tank is compartmental. The exhaust can be seen under the front bumper well away from the tank itself. The truck was seen at Swanscombe, Kent in 2009. DAF 105 XF 480. Howdens. This Space Cab tractor unit has blind spot mirrors which became compulsory in April 2009. DAF Super Space Cab. I.R.F. This 4 x 2 tractor unit has 2 Kelsa bars fitted to accommodate its 8 spot lights. The company started life as a refrigerated trailer haulage company but has also added removals to its business. The truck was seen at Swanscombe, Kent in 2009. DAF 105 XF. Irlam. Now owned by the Stobart Group the traditional livery of Irlam won't be changed. The Irlam tractor unit shown is hauling a Stobart trailer and was seen at Swanscombe, Kent in  2009. DAF CF. Jet. DAF CF. Morrisons. Morrisons is one of the big four supermarket chains in England and has a large fleet of trucks and trailers for its on time deliveries. This DAF is fitted with an airfoil body kit to improve its economy. The truck was seen at Swanscombe, Kent in 2009. DAF Super Space Cab. This Dutch truck is seen fully loaded with plastic baled pallets on a stripped down step frame trailer. The truck was seen at Swanscombe, Kent in 2007. DAF 55. Sturgess and Timson. This removal truck has a sleeper pop and lift rear axle. You can see the doors on the side of the body for easy loading of storage modules. The truck was seen at Swanscombe, Kent in 2009.
DAF CF. Swain. The companies main base is in Rochester, Kent and this truck is seen with its load sheeted and secured with ropes and ratchet straps. The truck was seen at Swanscombe, Kent in 2007. DAF CF. Turners. This is a very large storage and distribution company based in Suffolk. The truck here is hauling a tanker trailer carrying non hazardous good. The truck was seen at Swanscombe, Kent in 2009. DAF 105 XF. Visbeen. This new model DAF is seen with spot lights built into its roof. Visbeen's core business is transporting fruit and vegetables and this tractor unit can also be seen with a raised stabilising axle. The truck was seen at Swanscombe, Kent in 2008.
DAF CF. Woolworths. The picture was taken in 2008 before the company went into receivership. The DAF truck is seen with an airkit and a single axle box trailer. ERF EC11. Bardon. This 10 year old truck is one of many trucks owned by Bardon who move concrete, aggregates and asphalte as just one part of their overall business. The truck was seen at Swanscombe, Kent in 2009. ERF ECT. C. Butt Ltd. This logistical company provides warehousing and with over 400 trucks, dedicated fleet operations. This truck was seen at Swanscombe, Kent in 2009.
ERF EC11. This 10 year old tractor unit has the Olympic cab which is also fibreglass. The truck looks to be well maintained and was seen at Swanscombe, Kent in 2009. ERF EC11. Murco. This petrol tanker has a 4 x 2 day cab tractor unit and was seen at Swanscombe, Kent in 2009. ERF A series. This recovery vehicle has no registration plates but was made in the early 70's. It is a 6 x 4 unit with hub reduction axles. It was seen near Dartford, Kent in 2009.
ERF ECX. Threifall. This Lancashire truck is hauling a P and O tri-axle curtainsider trailer and is diplaying the Lancashire rose on its livery. The truck was seen at Swanscombe, Kent in 2009. ERF ECX. Welch. This is the Olympic Sovereign cab which comes fully loaded for the drivers comfort. The company was started in 1934 and has depots in Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Essex. As well as general haulage the company also has a  dedicated Depot Contract Distribution division. The truck was seen at Swanscombe, Kent in 2008. Foden Alpha. The truck was seen at Gaydon in 2008 hauling a semi low loader trailer. It has a Cummins diesel engine and with the Bull motiffs, I would assume that its main usage would be to transport lifestock.
Foden Alpha. This is the first series Alpha and is seen here hauling eight packs of timber safely secured with ratchet straps. The truck was seen at Swanscombe, Kent in 2008. Foden Alpha. Harlex. Foden are a very poular truck in the eight wheel tipper section of the market. This truck was seen at Swanscombe, Kent in 2009. Foden 4325. Although the truck is only 12 years old you do not see too many of them on the British roads nowadays. This nice example belongs to Ringway who specialise in Highway Maintenance. Foden 3380. Viridor. Viridor are a Waste Management Company and this vehicle comes from their liquid waste division. The truck was seen at Swanscombe, Kent in 2009. Foden FE4/8. This restored Foden with dropside body is seen carrying boxes marked Foden just as it was about to go on a Road Run.The truck was seen at a Scammell meeting at Chatham, Kent in 2008. Hanomag Henschel. This Dutch registered truck is a regular visitor to Truck Festivals around Europe. Hanomag and Henschel were two German manufacturers that joined together in 1968. The truck shown was produced in the early 70's and was seen at Gaydon in 2006.
Iveco 500. Arcese. This Italian logistics company has this 4 x 2 tractor displaying registration plates from Slovakia. This is the new model Iveco and was seen at Swanscombe, Kent in 2009. Iveco 560. Kings. Kings is a general haulier based in Essex who mainly move aggregates. Their new model truck is seen here hauling a container at Swanscombe, Kent in 2009. Iveco Stralis 560. RCF. The truck here is seen with a grain trailer. The truck also has mirror shields to protect them when travelling to isolated country farms for collection. The truck was seen at Swanscombe, Kent in 2009.
Iveco Stralis 500. This 4 x 2 tractor unit and trailer comes from Slovenia. It can be seen here with low profile tyres on both truck and trailer to give maximum carrying capacity. The truck was seen at Swanscombe, Kent in 2009. Iveco 500. This new model 6 x 2 tractor unit belongs to W. Tabern Transport who provide a road transport and freight service from their base in Merseyside. The truck was seen at Swanscombe, Kent in 2009. MAN TGA 430. 5 Star. This German truck has the new Commom Rail engine. It was developed by MAN for lower energy consumption, lower weight and lower emissions. The truck was seen at Swanscombe, Kent in 2009.
MAN 23.264. This body is designed to carry heavy plant with its hydraulic ramped tailgate. The truck was seen at Chatham, Kent in 2008. MAN TGA XXL. Bowmans. Bowmans from Mansfield do a wide variety of haulage and can be seen here hauling a full load of 1 ton sacks on pallets covered with a net  and tied down with rope for security. The truck was seen at Swanscombe, Kent in 2008. MAN 26.440. Cemex. This truck is the new MAN and can be seen hauling a powder tanker. Cemex is a world wide company who's core business is cement and concrete. The truck was seen at Swanscombe, Kent in 2009.
MAN 26.440. DJV. This new MAN model has the top of the range cab and is run by DJV, an Essex based company, who have been trading for over 30 years. They have a wide experience in bulk cargoes and just in time deliveries. The truck was seen at Swanscombe, Kent in 2009. MAN TGA 35.440. Orion. This company has a varied fleet of access vehicles with variable capacities of distance. This model is a left hand drive import on 4 axles with an extending boom and was seen in Erith, Kent in 2008. MAN 26.440. Richard Read. Based in Gloucester this company was started in 1946 and has a wide range of vehicles for all kinds of haulage. This new MAN was seen at Swanscombe, Kent in 2009.
MAN XXL. RJC. Specialising in heavy haulage this truck is hauling a concrete crusher on a semi low loader Nooteboom trailer. The truck was seen at Swanscombe, Kent in 2008. MAN 26.440. Hoyer Group. This new MAN is in Shell livery and has the latest Petreg specifications. The mudguards are steel preventing any damage to the bodywork if the tyre has a blowout. The truck was seen in Erith, Kent in 2009. MAN TGA 35.400. PTC. A typical 8 wheel tipper working on the Ebbsfleet construction site for the new Channel Railway link. It has an easy to operate sheet that covers the load and was seen at Swanscombe, Kent in 2009.
MAN TGA. Total Butler is one of the distribution divisions of Total Oil delivering, petrol, diesel, kerosene and lubricants. This 6 x 2 rigid was seen at Swanscombe, Kent, in 2009. Mercedes Actros. Bulkhaul. This company specialises in the global transportation of chemicals, foodstuffs, liquids and powders in containerised tanks. This truck was seen at Swanscombe, Kent in 2009. Mercedes Megacab. C and H Hauliers. This is the new model Mercedes and at the time of writing is probably only a couple of weeks old. This truck is hauling rolls of paper for the printing industry. The truck was seen at Swanscombe, Kent in 2009.
Mercedes Axor 3235. J Clubb Ltd. This Kent based company supplies concrete and aggregates and the truck seen here is an eightwheel cement mixer. The truck was seen at Swanscombe, Kent in 2009. Mercedes 2546. Dole Group. This is world wide company that specialises in the distribution of fresh fruit and vegetables This colour coded truck was seen at Swanscombe, Kent in 2009. Mercedes 1113. This left hand drive 4 x 4 is probably ex army and was seen in Northamptonshire in 2009. It had been converted as a people carrier and was about to go on a shoot at a country house when photographed.
Mercedes Actros 1844 Megacab. Euraspeed. This German 4 x 2 tractor is hauling a 13 metre curtainsided  trailer and was seen at Swanscombe, Kent in 2008. Mercedes Actros 1844. San Jose and Lopez. This company was formed in 2002 when two large companies in Spain merged to form SJL, an International Transport company. This truck is seen on small wheels and tyres to increase the volume of its loads in its trailers. The truck was seen at Swanscombe, Kent in 2008. Mercedes 1820. Ward Thomas. This removal truck is 15 years old and has a long wheel base with a sleeper pod over the cab. The truck was seen in Chelsea, London in 2008.
Mercedes Actros 2543. Weldex. This tractor unit has a hiab fitted to its chassis. It is hauling a semi low loader trailer loaded with heavy duty timbers. The truck was seen at Swanscombe, Kent in 2009. Renault Premium. GCA Domestic. This Cheshire based company is seen here with a gas tanker trailer with its lift axle raised. The truck was seen at Swanscombe, Kent in 2009. Renault Magnum. Luberda. This Polish truck has a mega space curtainsider trailer on small wheels. With its nice bright livery the truck was seen at Swanscombe, Kent in 2009.
Renault Magnum 480. Pekaes. Started in 1958 Pekaes is one of Poland's largest transport companies. Their truck here has a refrigerated trailer and was seen in Dartford, Kent in 2009. Renault Magnum 500. Picasso. This customised Renault has artwork of “The Pirates of the Carribean” and with its 40ft container was seen at Swanscome, Kent in 2009. Renault Premium 420. R H Stevens. This company is based in Macclesfield and specialises in bulk powders, bulk liquids, haulage and distribution. Seen here with a powder tanker, the truck was seen at Swanscombe, Kent in 2009.
Saurer Diesel. This restored truck was seen at Chatham, Kent in 2008. Saurer were a Swiss manufacturing company and produced their first truck in 1903. They were taken over by Daimler-Benz in 1982. Scammel Scarab. This three wheel tractor unit is in British Railways livery and was seen at a truck meeting in Kent in 2005. With three wheels it had a very good turning circle and was used for local deliveries and collections. It had a unique Scammell auto coupling which meant the driver could drop and hitch his trailer without leaving his cab. Scammell Handyman. This 4 x 2 tractor unit was first registered in 1966. It was seen at Gaydon in 2007. The fibre glass cab was designed by the Italian designer Giovanni Michelotti.
Scammell Contractor. This tractor unit is an ex army vehicle and has been restored as a tank transporter complete with tank. It was seen in Chatham, Kent in 2007. Scania R420. Canute. This truck and trailer has a self loading crane and aluminium bodies to reduce weight for extra payload. The truck is used for building block haulage and was seen at Swanscombe, Kent in 2008. Scania R420. VMC. This eight wheel rigid mix and lay concrete mixer has an extra low steel bumper fitted and was seen at Swanscombe, Kent in 2009.
Scania 143m 500 Streamline. Dolphin. Fowler Welch is a very large fresh fruit and vegetable distributor in Spalding, Lincolnshire. One of their trailers is being hauled by a sub contractor and the unit was seen at Swanscombe, Kent in 2009. Scania 124L 420 Topline. Gems. This truck was seen at Dartford, Kent in 2009. The heavy duty truck has 4 axles and a large crane fitted to its chassis. It is showing an Irish number plate, although it belongs to a local company, and is seen here parked complete with a 40ft tri-axle trailer. Scania R620 Topline. GSG. This nice liveried German truck is displaying lots of custom fittings including metal headlamp guards and was seen at Swanscombe, Kent in 2009. GSG is a small German company with about 10 trucks of a mainly Scania fleet.
Scania 164G 580. Ainscough. This heavy duty tractor unit is licenced to haul up to 150 tons gross weight. It belongs to a very large national mobile crane hire company and is used to carry the heavy weights and heavy crane hardware necessary to support a cranes big lift. With its six axle Nooteboom trailer it was seen at Swanscombe, Kent in 2009. Scania R620. Lockyer. This high spec truck is a 44 ton drawbar unit. It has Euro spec for container haulage. The truck was seen in 2008 at the Isle of Grain, Kent. Scania 124L 420. Longcliffe. This truck hauling a powder tanker with blower was seen at Swanscombe, Kent in 2009. Longliffe are leading producers of high quality Calcium Carbonate and deliver over 4000 tons a day.
Scania R 500 topline. William Nicol. This Scottish company specialise in bulk liquids and their truck here is carrying a non hazardous cargo. The company is based in Aberdeen but is showing Irish number plates. The well turned out truck was seen at Swanscombe, Kent in 2009. Scania 124L 470 Topline. Mike Ponsonby. This truck seen at Swanscombe, Kent in 2009 is hauling 12 packs of timber on its flatbed trailer. This Staffordshire company is a national and international transport and haulage company. A nice feature on the cab is the Scania Griffon emblem. Scania 114C 380. This eight wheeler has a fitted hiab and would also transport heavy plant with its hydraulic ramps. The truck was seen at Swanscombe, Kent in 2009.
Scania 143 470. This 18 year old truck has a skeletal trailer for container work. Becoming less common on our roads nowadays, it was seen at Swanscombe, Kent in 2009. Scania R420. Viridor. The truck seen here has a rolonof body for delivering and collecting waste management containers. The truck seen here has an extra lower solid steel bumper for off site work and was seen at Swanscombe, Kent in 2009. Scania R series Topline. WLC. This high spec truck also has quite a patriotic livery. Doing refrigerated national and international work, the truck was seen at Swanscombe, Kent in 2009.
Seddon Atkinson 240. This truck has an Iveco cab and is trading with a Jet livery. Doing local deliveries this 4 x 2 truck was seen at Swanscombe, Kent in 2007. Seddon Atkinson. This Kent based company specialise in recycling and their brightly coloured refuse truck was seen at Swanscombe, Kent in 2006. The cab has low slung steps for easy crew access. Volvo F12. This STGO Cat 3 truck can haul up to 150 tons gross weight. It is seen here with its Cometto low loader trailer unhitched because it was undergoing roadside repairs as can be seen with its double drive axles raised on heavy timbers. With its fourth axle conversion the truck was seen at Dartford, Kent in 2009.
Volvo FH 12. Allied Pickfords. This drawbar and trailer unit belongs to an international removal company specialising in household and corporate moves. The truck was seen at Swanscombe, Kent in 2009. Volvo FH 12. S.D. Cooper. This company, based in Humberside, is a general haulage company and can be seen here with a large crane section on its flatbed trailer. It is a first series FH 12 and was seen at Swanscombe, Kent in 2009. Volvo FH 12 480. Hayton Coulthard. This company provides a range of services and the truck here is one of their refrigerated trailers. This company with its eyecatching livery also has links with the Formula One driver, David Coulthard. The truck was seen at Swanscombe, Kent in 2008.
Volvo FH 12 480 Globetrotter. T Doherty. This Irish truck has an eyecatching livery. It has plenty of custom features as well as hazard lights mounted on its roof enabling it to do heavy haulage work. With its custom curtainsided trailer the truck was seen at Swanscombe, Kent in 2009. Volvo FL6. Fontana. This removal truck has a sleeping pod as well as an extra long body for maximising its carrying power. As written on the side of the truck, the company does national and international moves and the truck was seen at Swanscome, Kent in 2009. Volvo FH 12 420. Lannutti. This truck is hauling a glass trailer which is just one part of this Italian companies divisions. They have over 300 glass trailers and large sheets of glass can be carried because the trailers do not have axles, allowing full height in the centre of the trailer. With Belgium registration plates this truck was seen at Swancscombe, Kent in 2006.

Volvo FH 12. Derek Lynch. This series 2 Globetrotter with a curtainsided trailer was seen at Swanscombe, Kent in 2009. Based in Romney Marsh, Kent the company is a national and international haulier.
