Here is a picture of a Grocery Company that I took in 2008 in Louisville,Ky. Not sure if this company is still in business. The graphics on the trailer is what caught my eye.
Here is a picture of a 2006 Sterling that still has the KDL logo on it. Here in Louisville this logo has disappeared and the third party, Trans-Service has taken over. Trans-Service is out of Lake Success,New York. Here are a couple of pictures of some equipment here in Louisville. The tractor is a 1998 Volvo that still had the old KDL sign on the door. This logo was also seen on some of the west coast div. Stores [Fred Meyer, Ralphs and I think Frys]. The trailer was one of the first trailers that the Louisville Div. Put graphics on it is a 2004 model.
Here are some pictures of the Transervice logoed trucks here in Louisville. Truck # 1026 is a 2001 Sterling with a 1998 refer. Trailer loaded and ready to go. If you look at the numbers on the equipment it tells what the piece is,the year and the number of the truck or trailer. The first two numbers tells the computer it is a truck[02] trailer[03] the next two numbers tells the year[01] truck trailer[98] and the last three numbers are the truck or trailer number. The Kroger Div have always marked there equipment that way. They put the divisions name on the equipment also such as LOU for Louisville, ATL for Atlanta, Cin for Cincinnati and so on.
