The company is Scout Trucking, Inc. of Spring City, Pa. Scout was started in 1981 following the closing of Jones Motor Company. The company was owned by 3 men who at one time all worked for Jones. Harry Meitzler, my father and co-contributor of these pictures was vice-president. Scout operated as in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland and New York. Scout closed it's doors in the mid 1990's due to increasing competition and insurance costs.

Single axle Mack U-Model and 24' pup trailer. Truck was used to haul camping gear for the Chester County Coucil BSA to the 1985 National Boy Scout Jamboree in Fort AP Hill, Va.(Notice sign on back on trailer.
S/A Mack and 45' trailer. This rig was used to haul camping gear to the 1989 National Boy Scout Jamboree. In 1989 the number of boys going to the Jamboree increased, thus so did the size of the trailer.
