| I built this out of an 88 freightliner with a total cost of just under $10,000 including the price of the truck. We travel most of eastern us watching trains which is our hobby. We took the truck, removed the power divider, and turned it into a single axle,put a 20 foot trailer on it and dumped 10 gallons of imron on it. The only thing we didn't do was paint the truck but we did all the prep work. I made every thing myself including the front an rear bumpers, the side panels all the brakets, battery boxes,drive shafts, I polished every thing. We pull a 25 foot trailer with our matching jeep liberty and our golf cart. It gets 10 mpg at 55 mph. | ||
