The nicest combination was this Peterbilt powered semi-trailer tanker rig - June 12, 2009. Allied Washoe Petroleum is one of the oldest oil jobbers in the region tracing its routes back to 1900. They had been the Shell Oil jobber for the area for many years, they still handle Shell Oil products.
This KW W900 bob-tail tanker used for heating oil businessr was the next truck photo taken on the property at Allied Washoe - June 12, 2009.
Behind the oil warehouse at Allied Washoe's bulk plant was this Freightliner Columbia day-cab powered truck n trailer - June 12, 2009.
Not very pretty, but getting old can be tuff when worked hard without a lot of TLC, this Mack RS700L water truck was found at Allied Washoe Petroleum on 4th Street just east of downtown Reno - June 12, 2009. As can be seen the rear trailer of this truck n trailer outfit looks to be a former gas hauler converted to haul water. The combination probably finds work during construction and fire season.
Parked by the companies station next door to the bulk plant was this Freightliner powered truck n trailer rig - June 12, 2009. By the looks of it, it probably sees to the supply of many of Nevada's mines out in the state's hinterlands, traveling many miles over gravel roads makes for some hard living.
Sunday is a good day to spot and photograph the local tanker trucks along the Interstate in northern Nevada. Pictured here is a Washoe Petroleum rig heading east at Painted Rock - January 31, 2010.
