This next group of Hayes Heavy Duty Trucks comes from the Kim Loeb Collection
Restored Hayes logging truck from 1947. Port Alberni, B.C. Hayes HD logging truck from 1952. This was one of the first Hayes with an off-set cab. Off-set was 9". Steve Drybrough, Port Alberni (Mr. Hayes) owns this truck and has started the restoration of this unique Hayes truck. Hayes HD logging truck running for Oversize Express in Boston Bar, BC
Another Hayes HD model working for Oversize Express in Boston Bar, BC This one has an off-set cab. A Hayes model HD-3170 from 1965. The truck belongs to one of Steve´s friends. Beneath the red and white colors of MacMillan Bloedel, you will find the orignal colors of the truck; apache yellow and forest green on top of hood. "31" indicates that the has a 310 Hp engine and "70" indicates that GVW is 70 Ton. The truck has a twin sister, which is fully restored. I think the owner is Ron Blunt, Nanoose, BC. Hayes logger at Kenworth dealer in Campbell River, BC on Vancouver Island. Another Hayes HD logging truck. This one was for sale in Hope, BC. This is Steve´s 1972 Hayes HD-31-56 model. Hayes had 50th anniversary in 1972. Look closely at the Grizzly eating the Mack bulldog. Hayes was owned by Mack in that period, and I guess Mack wasn´t very popular by Hayes people. WB is 235" Steve is standing beside his beautiful truck.

This Hayes HDX or WHDX model was in the shop for repair.(trailer problem) Truck belongs to Thompson Trucking, Campbell River, BC. Picture was taken north of Campbell River, BC. Hayes HDX logging truck. MacMillan Bloedel H 17HDX 45-115. This was the last Hayes ever built. It left the factory in 1975. Steve drives it every working day. Kim standing beside beautiful H 17. Faris Contracting LTD, Parksville, BC on Vancouver Island.

This photo came from Aubrey Bruneau and was taken in Onoway, Alberta in 1995. Aubrey owned it for only about one year. Used to drive it as a "2nd car" !
