Remarks: Taken on it's maidentrip. As a 15 year old guy, it was also my maidentrip as passenger in a truck. The following night I decided to become a truckdriver..........!

Remarks: Taken at the Habets exportterminal. Refuelling for a trip with fresh vegetables and fruit to France or Germany.

Company, homebase: Habets. Gronsveld, Holland.
Remarks: Taken at the Habets exportterminal. Also this, in those days, brand new Scania is looking forward for a trip into France or Germany.

Truck: Scania 82H.
Company, homebase: Hubra. Eijsden, Holland.
Remarks: Waited to be unloaded. On this picture this rig have the original Dutch licenceplate's.

Remarks: Taken on a Sundayafternoon. The whole Habets fleet was at their yard in Gronsveld.
Location: Dutch-Belgian stateborder Eijsden-Moelingen.
Date: Winter 1983.
Truck: Scania 142M.
Company, homebase: Theo Hoitink. Lichtenvoorde, Holland.
Remarks: Clearing customs on the Dutch side of the border. Since the mid 90's there's a free transportation of goods regulation in the European Union. So for a trip from Holland to Spain for example you don't need to stop at any border. But in the days this picture is taken, it was absolutely necessary.
Location: Dutch-Belgian stateborder Eijsden-Moelingen.
Date: Winter 1983.
Truck: Mercedes.
Company, homebase: Unknown. Rig registered in Viersen, Germany.
Remarks: Clearing customs on the Dutch side of the border. After finishing Highway A2-E25 in 1975, the customs and the custom-agency's still remains at the old road stateborder. Around 1989 the new custom terminal at Highway A2-E25 was finished.

Company, homebase: Rinderspacher. Germany.
Remarks: Clearing customs on the Dutch side of the border.
Location: Near Rijckholt, Holland.
Date: Winter 1983.
Truck: Mack.
Company, homebase: Unknown. Rig registered in Holland.
Remarks: Loading a JCB crane. Mack is the only American truckmark, who sell's trucks in Holland.
Location: Gronsveld, Holland.

Truck: 3 Scania 141's.
Company, homebase: Habets. Gronsveld, Holland.
Remarks: These rigs are loading at their terminal.
Location: Gilze Rijen. Holland.
Date: Summer 1982.
Remarks: Truckstop lineup at truckstop "het Vliegveld" near airforce base Gilze Rijen. The 2 persons on this picture are my friend Herman Huls and his father Jo Huls. Many times I travel with them on their trips across the BENELUX.( Belgium, The Netherlands, Luxemburg.) Thanks to them, I became a truck driver.
