of winebottles in Chablis, France. I picked up a load of straw in the small
village of Plessis, near Sens, for a ranch in Holland.
Location: Molins-sur-Aube. France.
Date: April 2011.
Remarks: A week later I unloaded winebottles in Ligny-le-Chatel, near
Chablis. And yes, on Fridaymorning I picked up one a again a load of straw,

trucking for Reijnders. The next week it all began...
Location: Molins-sur-Aube. France.
Date: April 2011.
Remarks: Old business as usual as I did the same from 1994 till 1998 for
Agritrans in Eijsden. Straw and straw, and... But then we had a flatbed
drawbar on what we loaded much more as this curtainsided rig.
Location: Les Ulis. France.
Date: November 2012.
Truck: Mercedes-Benz Actros Megaspace.
Company, homebase: Patinter. Mangualde, Portugal.
Remarks: My second week in my new job for Wijsen Logistics brought me to Les
Ulis, near Paris. And there I took my very first pic of the new Actros.
Location: Les Ulis. France.
Date: November 2012.
Truck: DAF 95XF SpaceCab.
Company, homebase: Wijsen Logistics. Maastricht, Holland.
Remarks: Being a newbie at the company means no own truck for the time
being. Hopping from truck to truck brought me to one of the oldest of Wijsen
Logistics, but still in a very good condition with almost 1400 000
kilometres counted ( 8699196 miles ). It is painted in the old livery.

Location: Paris. France.
Date: November 2012.
Remarks: Just south of Paris, on my way back from Les Ulis to Maastricht.

Location: Paris. France.
Date: November 2012.
Remarks: Nortbound A-6B. A Paris without trafficjams is wishfull thinking
and only possible at night. In the distance you see the Tour Montparnasse (
Montparnasse tower ).
Location: Paris. France.
Date: November 2012.
Remarks: Northbound A-6B. Close to downtown Paris as approaching the Porte
d'Italie on the Boulevard Phériphériqué, the Paris ringroad.
Location: Paris. France.
Date: November 2012.
Remarks: On the Boulevard Phériphériqué. Trafficjams, but less as follwing
the outer ring A-86. When driving for Reijnders/Bakker&Brouwer to the
Coca-Cola plant in Clamart I soon discovered that the A-86 occured mostly
more delays as the Phériphériqué. So ever since I choose wisly for the
Phériphériqué...
Location: Paris. France.
Date: November 2012.
Remarks: The trafficjams made me stopped on the right place, what gave me a
chance to take a pic of the Sacre Couer on the other side of downtown
Paris, about 10 kilometres ( about 6 miles ) north from present position.
Brought back memories as my wife and I paid a 5 day visit to Paris in
October 2011.
Location: Paris. France.
Date: November 2012.
Remarks: The Boulevard Phériphériqué was build back in 1958 and completed in 1973. It was build on the site of the former Paris city wall ( Thiers wall ), which explains the name of all exits as "Porte", as they were build on the former gate locations in the Paris city wall. As the Phériphériqué couldn't handle all traffic, the A-86 is build as a "Super Phériphériqué". A third ringroad onder construction, and not completed is the "Francilienne". In the future the French government will complete a ringroad far out of Paris called "Grand contournement de Paris", wich follows from Amiens, Rouen, Le Mans, Tours, Troyes, Reims, and Amiens again.
Location: Paris. France.
Date: November 2012.
Remarks: Right after leaving the Phériphériqué I got stucked in a large
trafficjam caused by a hole in a overpass close where the A-3 merges into
the A-1, just south of Charles de Gaulle airport. That hole costed me one
and a half hour...

order of Adolf Hitler before and during WorldWar 2. This was Hitler's answer
on the French Maginotline. In 1945 American Forces braked through the
defense line near where this pic is taken. These concrete "teeth" were ment
as antitank wall, but the Allieds blew them simply up.

Remarks: Southbound highway A-7. During the end of the nineties beginning
zero's I've headed a million times towards Nordhausen as there was no A-38.
All small roads in former DDR ( former East Germany) conditions, real bad!
Passing through every single town... A hell of a ride! Nowadays there's the
A-38 who leads to Leipzig.
Location: Near Hedemünden. Germany.
Date: November 2012.
Remarks: Southbound highway A-7 towards Kassel. When the weather was right

Remarks: Southbound highway A-73. Into the Roertunnel, wich caused a lot of
problems right after opening a few years ago. To many safety inside occured
to many closures due to several reasons. Now the problems are solved, so the
tunnel isn't that many times to hear on traffic information anymore.
