Location: Near Val de Meuse, France.
Date: June 2007.
Remarks: The mighty river La Meuse, only about 30 kms of it's well. The La Meuse, or Maas in Dutch, is just a small brooklet here. Interesting for me, because my hometown Gronsveld is only 2 kilometres east of the Maas. But from Val de Meuse to Gronsveld is over 400 kilometres.

Location: Near Bivange, Luxemburg.
Date: June 2007.
Remarks: Northbound highway A-3. Yep, there's the southbound traffic jam. But the reason for this traffic jam is quite unique. Because of the low tax in Luxemburg the fuel is very cheap, comparing with other mid-western European countries. This traffic jam is thanks to the fact that many truckers and four wheelers are waiting for cheap refuelling at the Berchem rest area.

Remarks: Like almost all the German truckstops, the Esso truckstop is having somebody who's taking care of the parking fees. When you go to the restaurant you will have the money of your parking ticket returned. This is because a lot of former Eastern-block truckers were using a parking lot without going into the restaurant or using other truckstop facilities. The "landlady" at the Esso truckstop is having the sun at the right place, and all the truckers are stopping to pay the parking fee. So why should I, lazy Guido, walk around a dozen times if I can get them there.......This MAN was the first that day.
