Malone Freight Lines
Malone was based in Birmingham, AL.
This Malone Freight Lines GMC was fueling at the southbound Shell station on U.S. 1 in Ft. Lee, NJ in 1955 or 1956.

Mason-Dixon Lines
Mason-Dixon was based in Kingsport, TN and was purchased by Central Transport of Sterling Heights, MI in 1984.

These pictures of Mason-Dixon Lines Macks were taken at their northern New Jersey terminal in 1959. The terminal was right beside the NJ Turnpike near the George Washington Bridge exit. The tanker is their sister company, Mason-Dixon Tank Lines.
Mason-Dixon Lines sent these pictures to Fred in the mid 50's - same truck, different angles.

Merchants Motor Freight
Merchants was based in St. Paul, MN and merged with Admiral Transit in 1972, becoming Admiral Merchants Motor Freight.
These Merchants Motor Freight units (a trailer with Kenworth half-cab tractors at either end), was parked at a truck stop 10 miles west on Angola, IN on U.S. 20 on a frigid day in early 1959. I suspect some sort of weather related breakdown, maybe the brakes were frozen in the off position on the trailer. Midwest Freight Forwarding Co., Inc.
Midwest, based in Chicago, was purchased by Crouch Bros. of St. Joseph, MO in 1972.
A Midwest Freight Forwarding Co. Mack at the northbound Shell station on U.S. 1 in Ft. Lee, NJ in 1955 or 1956. A Midwest Hendrickson at the truck stop just west of Angola, IN on U.S. 20 in June 1959. This is a Midwest Freight Forwarding Diamond T pulling a Ringsby Truck Lines trailer through Butler, IN on U.S. 6 in 1959.

Miller Transportation
Miller was an Indiana based carrier, which merged with Brada Cartage in the early 60's to became Brada Miller, based in Kokomo, IN.

M&M Transportation
M & M, based in Somerville, MA, was purchased by Consolidated Freightways and Sanborns Motor Express in the late 70's.
These M & M Transportation Co. Macks were parked on U.S. 1 in Ft. Lee, NJ in 1955 or 1956.

Mohawk Motor
Mohawk, based in Tiffin, OH, was purchased by Central Transport of Sterling Heights, MI in 1972.

Monfort Packing of Colorado
Monfort Packing were based in Greeley, CO

Michigan Express
Michigan Express was purchased in the early 70's by Central Transport, Terminal Transport, IML Freight, and Indianhead Truck Lines.
This Mohawk Motor White was westbound on U.S. 20 in Angola, IN in January 1959 after an ice storm. This Monfort Packing Kenworth was pulling away from a toll gate on I-80 at the Delaware Gap in the late 70's. Bill Jensen took the picture. This Michigan Express Diamond T was eastbound on U.S. 20 west of Angola, IN in March 1959.

Motor Express of Indiana
MXI, based in Indianapolis, was purchased by Be Mac Transport of St. Louis in 1988.

A visit to the Motor Express of Indiana Ft. Wayne terminal in the spring of 1959 found this International.

Motor Cargo, based in Akron, OH, was purchased by Consolidated Freightways in 1956.
