Baggett Transportation
Consolidated Freightways purchased their rights in 1977.
These pictures of the same Baggett International were taken at the Shell station on U.S. 1 in Ft. Lee, NJ in 1955 or 1956. The trailer displayed Explosives placards, which is why it was using the George Washington Bridge. Trucks carrying hazardous materials were prohibited from using the Holland and Lincoln tunnels to New York.
Baltimore Transfer
This picture was taken on U.S. 1 a few blocks from the Capitol in Washington, D.C. during the summer of 1958. Baltimore Transfer used Internationals during this period.
These Baltimore Transfer pictures were all taken at or near the Ft. Lee (NJ) diner on U.S. 1 in 1955 or 1956. They were merged into sister company Motor Freight Express of York, PA in 1964.
Boss-Linco Lines
Boss Linco, of Buffalo, NY, was purchased by Laidlaw Transport of Hamilton, ON in 1982.
Braswell Motor Freight Lines
Braswell Motor Freight Lines was based in Dallas, Texas.
Here is a Boss-Linco White. This picture was taken at Leicester, NY in late 1971 during a roadside inspection. Here is a Boss-Linco White. This picture was taken during the summer of 1959 on U.S. 1 in Metuchen, NJ. Here is a Braswell Freightliner taken at Braswell's Oklahoma City terminal in the mid 70's.
Boyce Motor Lines, Inc.
Boyce was purchased by Shirks Motor Express of Lancaster, PA in 1956.
Here is a Boyce Motor Lines Inc. GMC. It was taken at the Ft. Lee (NJ) diner in 1955 or 1956 by Fred's pal John Mason. Here is a Boyce GMC was taken in Jenkintown, PA in 1954 or 1955. Here is a Boyce Motor Lines Inc. Ford truck parked beside a Mack tractor trailer. The picture was taken in Ft. Lee, NJ in 1955 or 1956.
Branch Motor Express
Here is a picture of a Branch International seen parked on a dock. This picture was sent to Fred by Branch in 1954 or 1955. Here is a picture of a Mack hauling for Branch. The picture was taken at the southbound Shell station at Ft. Lee, NJ in 1955 or 1956. The Mack tractor was leased to Branch. So said the paper signs on the doors.
Brooks Transportation
Hemingway Transport of New Bedford, MA bought Brooks Transportation in 1962.
These pictures of Brooks Transportation trucks were all taken at the Ft. Lee (NJ) diner on U.S. 1 in 1955 or 1956.
These two Brooks Transportation Co., Inc.White tractor/trailers were taken in 1956 in New York City a few blocks from a the Hudson River piers. Brooks Transportation Co., Inc. White. This picture was taken during the summer of 1959 on U.S. 1 near Metuchen, NJ. Brooks used White tractors during those years.
Buch Express
Buch Express was purchased by Halls Motor Transit of Sunbury, PA in 1960.
