On December 9, 2006, Hank Suderman gave me three diecast Malibu International trucks, an International 9400i, Kenworth W900L and a Peterbilt 379. The International didn't need anything done to it (yet). But the Kenworth did. Below you can see what I did to it.
The paint has been stripped and the fender modified, primed and the 1st colour applied with mask for the 2nd!!

I finally got tired of looking at that "rubber" bumper on this Columbia so I filed it down and wrapped it with a thin sheet plastic, BareMetalFoil and now we have the bright look much better for this version!! It would have been easier to do it in the first place so I wouldn't have had to be so careful with the "finished paint"!! Here is the Econoline completed. It was red and now sports an authentic Ford colour: Mill Valley green code F in the automotive base/clear system!! I add edmirrors and "F O R D" name in the grille opening.
A Don Mills Bullnose Kenworth in the different stages of painting and masking
I won that concrete batch plant on eBay a few weeks back and decided to repaint it; maybe its too coordinated?? Another project is an FL 112 SD that I think I may get ready for a scrap metal truck
I had Industrial Plastics make me up some dust covers for my models
Some cars that I won on eBay

Here are some 1/87 scale vehicles that have been purchased over the past few months

Mock-up photos of the pre-production Century day cab
More Century mock-up pictures with Dennis Aust 5 whole wheels
Here is the latest on the Century; until I get some deaclas or figure out just what kind of dairy name to use, it will just remain a white truck! The wheels on the tractor are those new ones from Dennis Aust........so many trucks have them now instead of the 2 hole
Here is the Freightliner FL112SD

I have this new project on the go..........have had one of these IH 7000 series in my possession for quite sometime wanting to make a dump truck out of one and always thought there was funny look to the model!! It doesn't sit quite right and so after changing the ride height and adding flotation tires, I think we have a truck!! The dump box is scratch built resembling a DEL brand!

A few more pics of the IH severe service 7600...........almost finished!!

A 1:53rd scale Sterling stripped and then repainted for Hank for an ABF model
Here is another addition to the Apex group!! This is a Kibri "reconditioned" Hamm road roller..........to assist with the paving projects of course!
This is a Boley IH 7600 severe service with a scratch built Del 20' 6" steel box! It has a 20,000 lb steer axle, 20,000 lb lift and 46,000 lb rear suspension 60"spread axle spacing, riding on a 248" w.b. The ride height has been changed on the cab, frame modified. front wheels are Jacobs Models 6 spoke flotation, all rear axles are Athearn 5 spoke, exhaust is aluminum tube and the model is painted in Automotive base/clear paint, an R-M fleet colour!
The jolly old fellow was very good to me in the toy dept. Those Riverpoint F 250's are stunning!! The F 850's are equally as good and .....well..........I just HAD to have one of those Faimont cars..........and there is even a tin lizzy!! Lots of cool stuff for sure!!
Here is a shot of the Riverpoint Ford F250SD that used to be yellow!! Here is one of the Ford F850 trucks well on the way to be a T850! I think the tow truck version suites this beast too!!
I tried my luck at some weathering this week; here are the results! I think the 87 IH S series is getting a little tired!!
Athearn 40 ft chassis made into a tridem
I have been busy with little trucks..........the F 250 and this trailer that we bought in Portland years ago; a 2 pack of car trailers form J.L Innovations; it was too narrow and a curb-side to add to the disappointment!! It sat in the package till now............I needed something to put that F 250 to work............so.......open the package, widen the deck, create some fenders, add some Herpa wheels (that roll), a battery box, some ramps and a jack and voila, we have a trailer!! The tin lizzy makes for a nice load! The left over trailer is for Jamie............he wants mine now........I told him no!! He will likely be inspired to do something different........like a tilt deck maybe??? That would be cool..........then I will trade!
Jamie just finished his tree trimmer that he started over a year ago !He narrowed the box, shortened the tower, changed the front bumper and scratch built the cab guard/rack! Wheels and tires come from Athearn and the trimmer is from Model power; both units are repainted authentic Asplundh colours in base/clear auto paint! Dry transfer lettering and stripping was used create the name!
Here is a shot of the first detailed GMC Savana cargo van. 1997- 2002 GMC Savana cargo van; it rides on a Trident Suburban chassis (modified to fit) along with a Boley windshield and interior from the Topkick and Roco wheels that look quite like the "work van" style! I may still add some black hub caps yet but this what I have so far! This one is finished in GM's Victory red available on those vans.
Finally I have a Sterling to the point were I can safely say that this project WILL happen!! This is still a pre production piece as this Master needs some tweaking and final detail adjustments!! This is the A series and will be followed by the L series both sharing a 113" BBC! The final project of the series will be the 106" BBC Acterra series! The roof fairing is basically there but needs to be fit to the roof and then the extenders need to be made yet so this is it for now!!
Here is an update on the Sterling Master; since the painted version in green, I re-worked the Master! I spliced and added to the upper B post sections bringing the rear of the cab roof at a lesser angle and also the hood/ cowl area had a reinforcement added to bring in the fat sides and high center hood syndrome! The side extenders to the fairing package is scratch built hopefully in the final primer stage.
