Transforce goes back to 1957 when the Emond Brothers obtained their 1st transport permit. The formed company was called Transport Cabano. It consisted of 2 tractors and the head office was located in Cabano, Quebec in the lower St. Lawrence area. In 1959 the company was granted a permit to serve Montreal.

Kingsway Transport was acquired by Cabano in July, 1992. The company name was changed to Cabano Kingsway and the headquarters was moved to St. Laurent, Quebec. Photo taken at Whitby, Ont., June 1987. Audet Transport, a flatbed carrier from Boucherville, Quebec was purchased by Transforce, February, 2005. Audet runs under the name Transbord. This is a company coloured unit. SAS Transport which was previously purchased by Transforce was merged into the Gregoire Transport group. Only the old SAS tractors have been changed to the Transforce colours. Transforce goes back to 1957 when the Emond Brothers obtained their 1st transport permit. The formed company was called Transport Cabano.
