On May 28, 2009 you may have noticed that the Forum was in maintenance mode for quite a while. Well it is a long story. But I won't bore you with all the details. The short of it is that I needed to apply an upgrade to the Forum software and there was a bug in the process. After trying many different methods to get it to work, I gave up and put the Forum back online.

Then today (May 29, 2009), I did some more research and found a workaround for the "bug". Now the Forum if properly upgraded and things appear to be okay again.

Thank you for your patience.

My memory was jogged a bit on Saturday when I saw Athearn's newly-released "National 101" Ford C straight truck in my local hobby shop.

They had a terminal in Baltimore many years ago (The site is now a car dealership), and I recall that their road power was Mack, but don't know much else about them.

Where did they run?  Were they primarily a Northeastern carrier?  Were they bought out or did they close down?

I had an accident on I95 back in 1976. I spent about 8 hours at the Green Comet Diner waiting for a replacement truck! I think the name has changed in the last few years, that's if it's still there! Carl
