On May 28, 2009 you may have noticed that the Forum was in maintenance mode for quite a while. Well it is a long story. But I won't bore you with all the details. The short of it is that I needed to apply an upgrade to the Forum software and there was a bug in the process. After trying many different methods to get it to work, I gave up and put the Forum back online.

Then today (May 29, 2009), I did some more research and found a workaround for the "bug". Now the Forum if properly upgraded and things appear to be okay again.

Thank you for your patience.

It is on mr. Laplante's turf, but what's going on with the Transforce / Begin terminal off the highway 10 in Sherbrooke (Deauville)? They cleared everything out except for about a two trucks and a dozen trailers. It is now leased to Guay Crane Service (their Sherbrooke location burned earlier this year). I understand that Guay needed a new terminal and Transforce tries to save some bucks by consolidating their busieness/reducing expenses, but what happened there? Did they transfered everythere to Trois-Rivières (JC Germain's main terminal) or they moved elsewhere in the area (such as their existing hubs in East Angus, Drummondville, Granby...)

Everything have been moved to JC Germain main terminal in Trois-Rivieres. They have been doing that over the years with almost every company they have taken over. For them it is consolidation but for the local economy it is a terrible lost.

I agree that consolidation is typical of them (or to a lot of corporations) and to expect someday, but I unaware that they finally closed the Sherbrooke terminal. I thought that they would did it when Interforce and JC Germain went together, but I get used to see them there. That's sure it is sad for the Townships.

I ate with two JC Germain drivers during the summer and they told me that Interforce was still existing (at least, at that time) and not just a name on a bunch of non-relettered trailers. So, it is kinda surprising to see that three months later.

On the other hand, it is not a surprise when you know how close is Trois-Rivieres from Sherbrooke and what they did elsewhere. It sounds that some other locations might be in danger (ie Plessisville vs Drummondville, Thibodeau vs TST Overland in Sherbrooke...).

On Monday, I was in Trois-Rivieres and their yard was pretty full, but it was like that for the last months.
