On May 28, 2009 you may have noticed that the Forum was in maintenance mode for quite a while. Well it is a long story. But I won't bore you with all the details. The short of it is that I needed to apply an upgrade to the Forum software and there was a bug in the process. After trying many different methods to get it to work, I gave up and put the Forum back online.

Then today (May 29, 2009), I did some more research and found a workaround for the "bug". Now the Forum if properly upgraded and things appear to be okay again.

Thank you for your patience.

I drove in to the Forus area today to look at some diecast buses that a guy was selling, and happened to find this slightly dirty, but oh so impressive looking Finnish show truck parked at one of the gas stations there. I can't recall having seen too many setups like this, with murals on both truck and trailer, but I guess they are more common in Finland and on the Continent. Anyway, decided to get some pics of it, so hope some enjoy.  cool

The truck appears to be operated by AR Freight out of Närpes, in western Finland.

Wow Jan!

I don't even remember the last time I saw a post of a rig from my neck of the woods! That AR freight is an unknown company (a small one for sure) and I would guess they run mostly to Southern Sweden, maybe even Denmark (and Norway as shown). I see that type of rigs every now and then, but they are mostly 7 or 8 axle truck&trailer combos.

PS. I bet he runs more abroad than Finland because of the plethora of lights he has. Only two high beams allowed at the same time with maximum of five marker lights in addition to your regular headlights! (plain silly byrocracy if you ask any me or any other Finnish trucker).

Glad you liked it, guys!

And Leo - yup, I bought three models; two Joal Scanias customized for Veolia Transport (white coach) and Veolia/Kolumbus (green city bus), and a Siku model of an American Freightliner school bus.  cool

That's typical European show trucks - the more, the better, it seems. This one is actually quite subdued compared to some others I have seen pics of.  shocked
