The web site was back up last night and Google didn't report any attacks. So we are safe again.
I have been working with my support people to prevent this from happening again. Thank you for all your patience while this was getting resolved.

I've never scene a Crete (only Shaffer) labeled reefer let alone one with a rollup door. Anyone with some background on it?

Well just taking a wild guess. With the W in the front of the trailer number. I'd say it's a Wally World dedicated unit. We use Crete as one of the dominate carriers at work so I see them all of the time. I have never seen a reefer for them though.

Interesting photo. Since Crete is imainly a Wabash customer, I would've thought they buy Wabash reefers. This one is a Great Dane!
And as for Crete reefers, back in the 90's, Crete did have reefers in their "Crete Intermodal Service" division. These were 48' Wabash reefers with "pin lift apertures (sp?)" on the top rail.
The "hockey sticks" were yellow instead of red.

Matt's right, Dedicated to Wal-mart, Crete hauls all the DC->store loads out of Wal-marts DC 7018 North Platte NE. That is where this one belongs.

When I worked for Schneider, I was told that WalMart spec'd and ordered the trailers and SNI paid for them. There was a prorated buyback agreement in place if the 2 companies parted ways. The trailers in the SNI/WalMart dedicated fleet when I was there were a mix of Utility and Great Dane.

Wabash reefers are a bit on the heavy side.

Crete started life as a contract carrier for Alpo pet food and maybe a few other customers... they were a 100% reefer carrier for many years.

Caught one on US 30 EB on 1/16/10. There are several Wal-Marts East of where I caught it.
