On May 28, 2009 you may have noticed that the Forum was in maintenance mode for quite a while. Well it is a long story. But I won't bore you with all the details. The short of it is that I needed to apply an upgrade to the Forum software and there was a bug in the process. After trying many different methods to get it to work, I gave up and put the Forum back online.

Then today (May 29, 2009), I did some more research and found a workaround for the "bug". Now the Forum if properly upgraded and things appear to be okay again.

Thank you for your patience.

Clarke Babcock will be known only to a few of the Ontario Car Haulers of the past. But I must announce his funeral in Odessa Ontario Saturday.
Clarke and his late brother Grant both drove for Charlton Transport Ltd and Motor Carriers Ltd. The Brothers ran the split operation out of Ganaoque Ontario.
As a personal note they were great people to know and very professional drivers. Both the Charlton Family and Bill Hayball of M.C.L used the brothers for trying out new configuration on Equipment.
Clarke was the driver in the 70s for the testing of equipment for a permit to allow a set of trains on the 401.
For various reasons the M.T.C. turned down the application.
