"Hello Everyone! Due to an exciting addition to my family this coming February I will not be working on any new models or taking new orders. If you have sent me a request already or have a model in progress I will absolutely work to complete them prior to my stopping my business in January. I will of course post something when I am back up and running and able to take new orders. This is a hard decision to make but the right one as I would not be able to honor any time commitments on any new models. I wanted to thank everyone again for your support of Drop & Hook Scale Models over the years and this will hopefully not be the end. In the last 10 years I have never considered anyone who bought a model from me a customer, I consider them a friend in the hobby I love. Thank you. Jay Lau"

Drop & Hook Scale Models did this custom work for Chris Sissick

1:53 Scale Tonkin Precision Scale trailers with Drop & Hook Scale Models decals applied. The Sterling tractor was taken from a twin screw Tonkin Replicas Yellow Freight model and and put on the single axle frame. The tractor was then renumbered properly for the single axle units. A real work of art.

These trailers started out as 1:87 Scale Athearn undecorated owner/operator trailers and Drop & Hook Scale Models made the new Yellow decals for the trailer.

A number of years ago a new grocery chain appeared in BC (Canada) and this chain hasn't got any trucks painted with their logo or colors. So a while I (Hank Suderman) made up some illustrations with the logo on the side of a trailer and played around with the colors for the cab. Well since Drop & Hook Scale Models came along, I didn't think I could get a model built as my illustrations showed. So I emailed my illustrations to Jay at Drop & Hook, and what you see here is Jay's artwork in 3D. *Thanks Jay for a fantastic job on these trucks!!!!!*

Look at this great model made by Drop & Hook Scale Models. It was made especially for Hank Suderman of Hank's Truck Pictures. Jay even ground the extra fairings off the side of the cab and roof deflector to make the Sterling look like the prototype. GREAT WORK JAY!!!

Here is the CF model Jay Lau at Drop & Hook Scale Models decorated for me.

This is a model of the last tractor CF purchased. In 2001 they bought four ex-MS Carriers tractors to use as they were not able to buy new equipment anymore.
They were testing them and were supposed to buy 300 more the following year which they didn't ever do. I got to see this one tractor on I-5 in early 2002.

This is another amazing model custom painted and decaled for David Faust. Check out the license plate even!!!! The photo of this actual tractor and he even has the same number on the plate as the actual truck! Land Air is an interesting fleet and this model is an exact duplicate of one of their trucks.
