Glengarry Transport was a major force in the Western Quebec LTL market. Expansion and the purchase of many Eastern Quebec LTL operations did them in and they shut down. They still operate their truckload operation, "XTL".

Thibodeau Transport was based in Windsor. They ran to Toronto. They bought out FINCH AND SONS TRANSPORT (initials F.A.S.T.) of Brantford Ont. Finch had rights to Toronto and further to Montreal.
The ALGOMA CENTRAL Corporation bought Thibodeau-Finch. Their full load owner operator division was ALGOCEN Transport. They were apparently sold by Algoma Central to GTL Glengarry. Algoma Central then sold their railway to Wisconsin Central (guarantied by the Ontario Government) and held their Great Lakes Marine Division. Thibodeau-Finch also ran International S series tractors as well as Fords.
