| Glengarry purchased Thibodeau Finch that operated from Windsor to Toronto. The Finch purchase gave them authority into Montreal from Toronto. | Photograph taken at the Chatham, Ontario terminal. Thibodeau Finch Ford tractor and the trailer is Southwestern Motor Transport of San Antonio, TX that was interchanged in Detroit, MI. | |
| Annotation by Rob Archer
Thibodeau Transport was based in Windsor. They ran to Toronto. They bought out FINCH AND SONS TRANSPORT (initials F.A.S.T.) of Brantford Ont. Finch had rights to Toronto and further to Montreal. The ALGOMA CENTRAL Corporation bought Thibodeau-Finch. Their full load owner operator division was ALGOCEN Transport. They were apparently sold by Algoma Central to GTL Glengarry. Algoma Central then sold their railway to Wisconsin Central (guarantied by the Ontario Government) and held their Great Lakes Marine Division. Thibodeau-Finch also ran International S series tractors as well as Fords. | ||
