This Yellow Freight System Freightliner sleeper, was shot at Denver, CO in November 1992. This was Yellow's first group of sleepers and were leased from Penske. David Faust Collection. That is Dave in the Yellow GMC tractor at the age of 17! A posed shot as Dave never worked for them! Here is a Kenworth cab beside engine (CBE) owned by Yellow Freight System.
These were also called "telephone booth" cabs.
Yellow owned about 350 of these trucks.

Yellow leased a number of White/GMC sleepers from Ryder. The majority of their Freightliners are leased from Penske. Don Querciagrossa Collection. One of the first Yellow Freight International 8300 tractors. This was the first order of tractors that changed to disc wheels and LP 22.5 tires from Dayton wheels and 11R524.5 tall tires. Carolina Ford and a Yellow GMC Brigadier taken at Effingham, IL in August 1988. Yellow Freight Freightliner sleeper without side farings.
