Saia was once owned by Yellow Corp but now is owned by a newly formed parent company called SCS Transportation.
SCS also owns Jevic Transportation. They were spun off from Yellow Freight System in the fall of 2002.

This Saia photo was shot in Medford, OR. The middle trailer use to belong to Smalley (which was merged into Saia after Preston (and their Saia and Smalley subsidiaries) was bought by Yellow. Here is an Action Express rig with their first Volvo tractor. They mostly run Freightliners and Internationals. Now Action Express is a division of Yellow Freight.

Saia tractors in Kent, WA. The blue (WestEx) tractor is next to a brand new 2007 VNM. The tandem looks odd with the white wheels and is a shortened version of the VNL next to it. Connection, based out of Lexington,Ky, was purchased by Saia. Connection bought Majors before Saia bought them. Sorry some of the pictures are blurred will try to do better I was in a hurry to get them be for it got dark. Here are some more pictures I took 4/1/07 at the Saia terminal. The Red tractor is the first one I have seen in Louisville. The pups are the first too. You can see an old Majors trailer on one end and a Connection on the other. The third picture is an old Majors Truck resigned, right above the louvers you can almost see the original owner of the truck when it was new. A company local here called Dean Foods was the first owner. The had a big Dairy company here. Ken Cornetet Collection.
