Here are some shots of the Roadway Baseball Tractor. These were taken at the Chicago Heights terminal on 9/12/05 before it was displayed at US Cellular Field for a White Sox game. The trailer has tilt outs, and inside is a mobile museum that has displays from the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum.

Here are a couple of snowy pictures. Night shot 12/8/05 at the Elkhart Service Plaza on the Indiana Toll Road, there was already about 5” of snow on the ground and as you can see still snowing pretty hard. Relay yard in North Lima, Oh. after the storm 12/9/05. Vendor in the background is plowing snow by the inbound line.

Here are some photos from the Stroudsburg, PA. terminal. I was there to train their sleeper team drivers for western triples. Alfred Baggiani Collection.

Some pictures from US 30. When we don’t have triples we are routed this way. Most of the drivers don’t like it but, I kind of like the change of scenery! There is only 25 miles of 2 lane left on US 30 in Ohio. Picture at the stop light is at Beaver Dam the western terminus of what remains of the 2 lane highway. With hardly any shoulder you sure wouldn’t want to breakdown. Not as many trucks use US 30 since the Ohio Turnpike raised the speed limit for trucks to 65 MPH. Alfred Baggiani Collection.

Unit # 835241 and # 814507 are 2 million mile tractors. P&D drivers get an assigned tractor when they achieve 2 million accident free miles. # 835241 belongs to Rich Seigle who was the ATA National Champion in 3 axle class in 2002. Alfred Baggiani Collection.

New Roadway Volvo #755043 was one of the first twin screws that arrived in Sacramento. Alfred Baggiani Collection.

These Roadway triples were being hooked for me. We don’t hook our’s in the sleeper operation, we drop out the power and re-hook to the strung set. Alfred Baggiani Collection. These doubles are on I-40 in the rest area at the New Mexico-Arizona state line. Because of the historic amount of snow that had fallen on Donner in January 2005, my Sacramento was cancelled and I was sent to Bloomington, CA. Alfred Baddiani Collection.

The No-Zone unit was at a grade school for a safety presentation. Alfred Baggiani Collection. This white Peterbilt is hooked to a brand new 53’ trailer. Not really a posed picture as the Pete was rented for use by drivers practicing for sleeper class in the Illinois Truck Driving Championships last year (2005).
