Roadway Volvo VNM sleeper with triples. Don Querciagrossa Collection.	Roadway Express took a group of 1983-85 tractors and ran them about 2M miles each. This tractor is one of the group. In the early 90's, each tractor was rebuilt with a new Detroit Diesel Series 60 engine to replace the Detroit Diesel 6V-92TT which was not reliable or very long lived. The tractors were painted and many are still operating in their P&D fleet. Don Querciagrossa Collection.

Roadway has a large relay point in White Pine, TN, about 40 miles east of Knoxville, TN. Shown are just of few of the trucks in the relay on a Saturday. There is no terminal or shop facility.
