Eastern Express tractor was also fairly new is late 60's time frame. Notice the PA liquor permit numbers on the tractor fender. Shipper Dispatch trailer was a major Midwestern fleet purchased by Preston to get from Cleveland to Chicago and St. Louis. Eastern Express purchased R-C Motor Lines. R-C operated from Miami to Boston. Eastern operates from Denver to Boston. Don Querciagrossa Collection. Eastern Express Freightliner doubles at Bloomington, IL in 1971. They had five tractors running from Chicago to Kansas City and Denver. Long doubles (65ft.) were not legal east of IL then. Don Querciagrossa Collection.
