Carolina purchased over 200 of these special trailers with a moveable floor which allowed them to use the belly compartment to load freight in. They used these trailers on their long transcontinental operation to their sister company, GI Trucking in CA. ABF sold most of these trailers after purchasing Carolina. | Red Arrow was a seperate carrier just like GI was and served the Texas, Oklahoma and Kansas area. Their trucks were normally solid red but occasionally they transferred equipment from Carolina. Sometimes it worked the other way as solid red Carolina tractors were seen as well. |

Here is a Red Arrow tractor shot by Don Querciagrossa. This was an original Carolina unit and not an ex-ABF as the former ABF units had silver fuel tanks and stacks. |

Here is a rare Red Arrow International 8200 tandem tractor. It is believed that neither Carolina or Red Arrow had very many tandem axle versions of the almost 800 8300's they purchased when they changed their fleet program from operating a tractors in linehaul service for 7 years to a 4 year lease.
