American Freight System was formed by the merger of Terminal Transport Company and All-American, Inc.
Terminal had a brown livery and All-American was orange.

Terminal Transport then American pulled a lot of frozen orange juice loads out of Florida to the north.THANKS TOM FEW!

Here are a few Smith's units with mixed trailers. Note the American logo on the Smith's trailers. Also American only repainted a few of the Macks but painted a lot of the airshields. It seems they did as little as they could to reidentify them as they were short money. This photo was taken at Chicopee, MA about a month or two before they closed.
