| Second time this year I nailed one of these. This one is different as it isn't a normal triples tractor as the ABF western triples fleet is always numbered under 075. This one is numbered in the Ohio/Indiana triples series but lacks the permit numbers on the driver's door. |

| It was a struggle to overtake this set of ABF triples. Good thing that I only had doubles. Look closely and you will notice that he has dual stacks! These triple tractors have twin turbo Cats under the hood. The guy hooking the Hostess Pikers told me that his kid drives for ABF and there was a mistake made in the order for those tractors. Freight-haulers don’t need dual stacks, but those Cat engines require them. (IMG 3177.JPG shows the dual stacks better, picture was taken at their Chicago Heights facility.) I had to take this into the sun which I wasn't thrilled about. I like the solid set of smooth trailers though. Note the small "NW" on the chain box. This is the only indication this is a triples tractor for the northwest. |
