CF Sleepers
Not only did CF operate sleepers in the sixties, but the White Freightliners were twin-screws and pulled single long boxes. The tractor shown here has a single recessed stack. The trailer is a Fruehauf. Photo taken at Fortmeyers Truck Stop in Fort Wayne, Indiana in 1965. The tractor in this photo features dual exhausts. This tractor has a shorter wheelbase than the tractor shown in the first photo. Note how the driver's mirror is mounted. This was standard procedure for Consolidated Freightways. The trailer shown here was built by Brown. Photo taken at Fortmeyers Truck Stop in Fort Wayne, Indiana in 1965.

Three of these Diamond Ts were leased to NIBCO in Elkhart, Indiana. They had a unique look due to being a single-axle with the front axle mounted forward. After running for NIBCO for several years, at least one had a tag-axle installed, sold to an owner-operator and leased to Rowley Interstate, Inc., Dubuque, Iowa. The photo was taken at a small truckstop diner east of Elkhart, Indiana along U.S. 20.
