Grant Transport
They are a transport company that is based in New Liskeard in northern Ontario. Grant is a corporation that owns large lumber mills but their trucking division specializes in forest products and fuel hauling. There large fleet of red and grey company and owner operator trucks haul multi-axle b-train configurations. Unit 9556 Western Star from the tank division. They use the short hood and small bunk to fit Ontario's length laws when hauling b-trains. Unit 9500 is an owner operators T800 pulling a trailer custom made to Grants specs by Advance Engineering. It hauls finished lumber to southern Ontario and Michigan on the top of the deck and in the belly tanks reloads fuel in southern Ontario to be back hauled to the north. With so many flatbeds hauling lumber and steel out of the north its hard to find backhauls quickly so Grants uses these flatbed tank combos. Sitting at the Co-op truckstop in Verner Ont. unit 9333 a company owned is hooked to a b-train wood chip trailer. With lots of horsepower needed to pull the huge weight over the northern hills notice the extra cutout air induction on the hood to get more air to the motor.Kenworth T600 unit 9018 owner operator with extra moose lights and bugscreen full of early spring backflies is stopped in Englehart with a big jag of sticks on a 6 axle b-trains.
