| These 2 photos show part of the CF show truck that appears at different events around the country. When not at a show, this truck did haul revenue freight. Also, note the polished aluminum rims on both the dolly and the trailer. Photos taken at a PMTA truck roadeo at L&H Trucking in Hanover, PA in June 1997. John L. Becker Collection. |

| This tractor was brought in to Wallingford in a new series as it was a line tractor to be used by only Wallingford to run line back to the breakbulk. Sort of a reverse effort and they were not about to provide a newer tractor for this as the regular line drivers would have been mad! The doubles were shot in Waterbury, CT in front of CF's terminal there. 1990 David Faust Collection. |
The CF Logo is still proudly emblazoned on the front of the INTERPORT SUFFERANCE TERMINAL, Oct 2002. |

I worked here from April '74 to Thanksgiving '75 when I transferred to the Toronto Intl Airport office. My office was on the main floor to the right of the front entrance door. At the time I worked there, it was owned by Direct Systems. Their Toronto terminal was at the back of the building. Most bonded carriers had a door or two at Interport back then. It was a secondary bond shed to MidCon. Doug McKenzie hauled some containers and piggybacks in there, but mostly to Midcon. He was with Laidlaw.
There was also a bond shed in the east end of the city, Toronto Sufferance Truck Terminals See the Autocar shot in Doug's Laidlaw collection. It was taken there. TSTT was built by Maislin and was then bought by Yellow.
Interport was known as Toronto-Dixie Bond, and TSTT was known as Toronto-Kennedy Road from the roads they were located on. |

It is said that this photo was taken somewhere in Columbus Ohio. Steve Gutendorf Collection.
Annotation from Charles Decker
who worked for CF 28 1/2 years. Akron, Buffalo , Fremont and Indianapolis till the end ..:
I believe the picture was a Columbus , Ohio team taken some where in Texas. Story I heard, was they got off the Interstate and came up on, what they thought was water across road and was actually a lake. Seems they kept going right up to the point that the rear trailer started floating. I know a safety man in Indianapolis had the picture posted on wall in his office ... |
Annotation from Joe Pagley. Retired CF driver from Columbus, Ohio: The picture of the truck in the water was a Columbus, Ohio team in the water in Texas. The team got off at one exit too soon to go to a truckstop. The picture was on the service road next to the highway that leads to the truckstop. They had to sit in the truck several hours before they could be rescued. While they were sitting there, the water kept on rising. This incident happened in 2001. |

This photo taken in 1993 when the unit had been in service about 8 years. It is actually on it's second paint scheme and looks tired. It was then downgraded into a city unit (I think in Buffalo, NY) Photo was taken by a friend who drove for CF in Pocono. |
