On September 2, 2002, Consolidated Freightways filed for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy



Here are the some pictures John L. Becker took on June 8, 2003, the day before the start of the 3 day auction at the Carlisle, PA. facility.
These 2 photos are of the CF sign at the Carlisle, PA breakbulk. They were taken on June 8, 2003, the day before the start of the 3 day auction at the Carlisle facility. With the CF long boxes sitting around the base of the sign, John L. Becker Collection.
These 4 pictures show the four 53' trailers that were up for auction at the CF terminal in Carlisle, PA. 3 of the units were Great Dane-built trailers and the other one was a Fruehauf (Wabash National brand) -built van. June 8, 2003. John L. Becker Collection.

This Hough wheel loader was used at the Carlisle breakbulk for snow removal and other duties. Carlisle, PA. June 8, 2003. John L. Becker Collection. In my opinion, this should be in a CF museum, if one exsisted! I shot this same truck many yaers ago when the breakbulk was at York, PA. Carlisle, PA. June 8, 2003. John L. Becker Collection.
