2001 Mack CX613
At nearly ten years old, Dad is still running the 2001 Mack. In this picture, it has 2 million kilometres on it and still trucking along! In fall 2007, he replaced the engine when it had 1 million miles on it. Aside from a new clutch at the same time, everything else on the truck is original, including the paint. Not bad for ten years, 2 million clicks!
Summer 2010

2001 Mack CX613
Dad took this picture of his current ride all cleaned up before he & Mom went on holidays. In two more months, he will have been running this truck for 10 years. With exception of the engine and clutch, all other major components are original, including the paint. In this picture the truck has 2,250,000 kilometres on it and still going strong! Dad currently pulls three trips per week running Kamloops to Edmonton and return. I think he is hoping the truck will last forever!
April 2010. Taken at Entwhistle, AB. (Is the match to another picture already posted on website). April 2011. Taken in Kamloops, BC. Probably one of the last pictures taken of this truck before Dad decided it was time to let her go. Pictured here the truck is 10.5 years old and has 2.3 million kilometres on it. Winter 2010. Taken in Hinton, Alberta.

June 2011. Dad's new truck, a 2012 Volvo VN780. Powered by a Volvo D13-500HP Engine, with an I-Shift transmission. Pictured on the day he took delivery of the new truck, parked beside the 2001 Mack Vision tractor. With this new truck being much quieter inside, a better ride, and not having to shift gears, Dad is wondering if he will be able to stay awake for the long hours that truck-driving requires!
